No but I asked that very question tonight and both Phil Coffey and Ian Milward were firmly in agreement that it would not.

I assume they had been told so to that affect and it probably had a bearing on the decision not to appeal it.

Yes apparently despite a rigarous defence, there was a risk the points deduction could have been increased on appeal but they were adament it would not affect any future SL application.

That's how it came accross to me anyway.

You have to predict your income for the coming season, we didnt include the LSV income by mistake and obviously the situation with AT wasnt expected hence the breach, we didn't delibrately cheat like some have done.

If we had a mega rich owner and the money to do it, Im sure we probably would have appealed, but given our situation atm, thats why we decided against the appeal.

Clubs dont have massive fluctuations in turnover and profit/loss unless something drastic like moving up a division happens , your loss was the result of investement , and your profit was the accounting return on that investement , it isn't rocket science

I should have known better and not looked.

Right so we make a mistake on our financial prediction (something which is notoriously easy to do) and get a 3 point penalty where as Wakefield and Crusaders go into administration and get a 4 point penalty (OK less points for a win in super league so in the championship it'd be equivalent to 6 points), nice to see proportional punishments isn't it?

Could have been 6 so lets say draw a line under it and move on, should Fev lose at Barrow and we beat Batley away, it wont have any affect on us will it .

Technically we were wrong, and found guilty, perhaps this is the minimum sentence.

If the reason is because our projected income was lower than anticipated then it's obviously the fans fault. I expect a statement from the club in due course confirming this.
