I think worst is a bit over the top but will defo be one of the slowest, I really believe he would benefit in the long run from being taken out of the firing line for a few games, the decision to try and put a 30yd pass to pownall from 10m out with no-one at all in front of him just proved his own self belief and confidence is shot to pieces.

Well I do not agree I just think he made a mistake.

When he gets subbed I think we miss him. He has a proper RL brain and has suffered from not having a proper scrum half all season.

I would def put McNally there if Coyle is not fit and would select tacklers only in the pack if you follow my drift.

Re centres I would go with O Donnell and Higson to give us pace which we will need on Friday. Wingers Maden and Pownall.

as did the stand out player in the NCL at the time ( again with an ex pro dad ) Gary Middlehurst who's currently wasting his time at NW Crusaders along side other former Leyth based players Leon Brennan and Jonno Smith .

Riddy only in the team causes he's from Leigh, halfback's are key positions and direct you round the park , need another Jamie Ellis so Riddy can make his name off back him.

Riddy and Ellis were a great partnership- thats what Riddy and the team have not got now. Riddy as good as anyone in our league - perhaps equal with Kain who's a bit quicker.

(I'm reminiscing a good Leigh win at Central Park when Brian Fallon scored a wonderful try and I was about 3 yards away on the fence! Brian wasn't particularly fast either!

Yes it was a great partnership and Riddy did well with a good HB along side him..........as I've said before - Beswick ain't a HB he is a 9/13 and this is giving Riddy too much to do by leading the team by himself. Play Coyle/McNally or Penky alongside him and he will shine again.

All the "he`s cr*p and slow " ain't what we need ......what is needed is a HB along side him as we are currently running with just 1.

I can't believe how many are overlooking finnigan. He's been our best signing in my opinion. His work rate in attack and defence is massive

And as for all this riddy stuff, it's just laughable! We are privileged to have such a good player at our club

His defence has been suspect in several games this season. Buy the DVD's if you think I am making that up btw.

Hi Charlie and other posters - I'm 73 and nobbut a lad - saw my first game v. Huddersfield in 1950. re Fallon's try - Brian broke blindside from a scrum about 15 yds out - winger Jim Humble came up fast - Fallon gave him the ball and 3 wigginers hit him at same time , piling him into the fence right where I was standing. When we all looked up Brian Fallon was over the line with the ball - HAVING SOLD THE PERFECT DUMMY.

My season watching Leigh , coincided with Piet Botha at full back , playing his only season at Leigh , along with a Backline including Humble , Howard , and Boonzaier on the wing .
