I like the leythers but I am often shocked at how quick some,not all seem to turn on the players,it must surely knock moral down a few notches.

Well said Detroitsoul! you couldn't be more right ,some fans just see black and white when watching a game and don't see/bother with the reasons why we lose .Ridyard is not rubbish ,he can't do it all himself he needs help and, can't believe that some fans gave Brierly some abuse at the end of the game ,when he's scoring tries they love him, how fickle .

I was at the game.we should have scored first. fev fan reckoned we had 27 tackles and couldnt score.was downhill after that when fev upped the pace on attack and defence were much quicker and more aggressive than us.rowley said some of our bench probably should not have played so difficult to change much.
with no game plan, nieve tactics ,sixth best coach in league, half team playing out of position,given start we have had a good season to date.some of our more experienced players are crocked,lost a bit of form the young lads done great and its cash in the bank for them for the future.
season aint over. get many as we can back on the paddock and as we have proved we can give anyone a game. dont think thats head in sand just based on what we have seen.the future is another matter we are still in a hole but if we all put in as much as the great mo I forecast we will be kicking Queenslands within 4 seasons

NaDM, most of your post is similar to my observations, with the exception that I made a comment refn what I and others were told by a fan last night, although I ain't sure if some wasn't tongue in cheek.


We are in a far better position than anyone could have imagined in September and can finish better than the past 2 seasons and get to a GF - especially with your contributions to fund the entire Aussie national team for the play offs putting mine to shame.
I cannot understand anyone knocking lack of effort last night and to be 7/1 in a two horse race says a lot about the neutrals thoughts on our chances.

Maurice having read your opening post i have a coulpe of questions. Are you saying Paul is not good enough to coach Leigh and thats the reason we have lost the last 2 games?. I was unsure of Pauls ability as head coach before the season got underway but quickly my opinion became that i think we do actualy have the the makings of a very good coach in Paul and would do well to keep him for a few seasons as both him and the team develop in skill and experience. I do understand that a few bad results will have an effect on gates which in turn will impact on playing budget but we have lost to two good sides and and considering our squad options this season we are performing much better than i expected .

Get Real!! Given where we were a few months ago, is there anyone who wouldn't take where we are now?

Fev had a game plan we didn't. They hit us on the left side all night, nobody changed it!! Each time Riddy got the ball and they were all over him, he does need help. They bullied us and got away with it, laying on cheap shots the lot...all down to the ref.
I think the team have all done well this season and I'm sure there is more to come.

Ste, I think Kear, Powell, Rhino and Tubbs are ahead of Paul when it comes to the big games, hardly a suprise given experience etc
Blackhead reads it as I do v Fev, except we should have known what to expect and make the ref, ref it.
Paul has done much better than I thought he would, but he seems limited in gameplan except the Rhinos game when we gave it a real go from the off - I have only walked away from Fax away really buzzing this year
I expected 2 defeats with the squad we have injury free, it seems we could have beat Batley and last night was poor.
I beleighve we can win the rest with a bit of fine tuning and some injury luck, but I can't believe he is playing with one half back.
We have reached a cross roads in the season and next Friday will be a big game for us.

AND Brierley has confirmed that he wasn't told he wasn't wanted - so thank you to the bloke who had me hopping last night and apologies to Paul for believing it may be true.

A fans view. Ok, well, we were well beaten by the team who in all rights should be the team wo wins everything this year. Coming back listening to the radio Rowley summed up my view of the night and season up to now. Last October we didn't know if we were gonna have a club to support, let alone, CC QF. NRC SF and be in with a vry good shout of having a play off run. If anyone is gonna criticise that bunch of lads then can I kindly suggest that you go down the road and goto the DW. I couldn't care less how much mony you've put into the clb, but what the lads have done this seasn after the uncertainty has been nothing short of incredible. If anyone wants to moan abot the lads then get gone to the criketers arms in smogland and moan there, not on our boar were we back the lads. Just remember what we've done this season. Rant Over

I suggest Tom that not one single Leyther go down the road road to the DW stadium. What I suggest is we as Leythers try to help the Leythers - who don't see it the way seasoned Leythers do or the the way the Leythers who are Putting the graft on the field and behind the scenes do - to try and understand that we have survived because we are Leythers and we are here today because the are people who care and feel every tackle and knock. We by all accounts should not be here because we had nothing but we did have something. We have a club that needs every single fan it can muster and driving people who have an opinion is wrong.

Yeah I see what your seeng, it just really annoys me that some people find anything to criticise, like you said banged to rights we shouldn't be here. We started the season with no expectations but felt happy we still had a team. Up to now we've seen the lads play the World Champions, get to a semi final and be in a strong league position looking for a play off run. I think that if people are gonna slate the lad after last night without thinking what they've done through the season. It makes my blood boil.

Where have you been Tom G. I used to love your rants and you standing up on your own in the west stand trying to get us singing or have I got the wrong man.

Tom G is a young lad and his passion is needed from more of his age, I encourage the expression of his passion but also understand the inexperience behind it.
I also pay lip service to the comments of those who fail to support our club in its hour of need, a family should have many opinions behind a common goal.
