But surely it reaches the stage where Basil must consider that it will be better to be without him for one week and get some vital rest rather than continuing playing him and be out for several weeks? For the past few games he's just looked a timebomb to me, sooner or later it's going to catch up with him.

firstly can i say, i think stu donlan has been awesome this season, main reason for that, is he has played in his best position of full back, and not been shunted round the backs like a spare part. secondly he is vital to our team, so for the good of the team and for donlans long term health i if i were in charge would rest him for sunday, so he is firing once again on all cylinders for the semi.

I never said that you did pick the side Fred, but surely it's plain for all to see that the lad is carrying an injury, and playing 80 minutes every week is going to do nothing to solve it.
