As I said , it was Trevor that suggested it is something to look at , although I agree with him , the club hasn't much if any spare cash to spend on marketing , and there are many on here and that attend that would consider any monies spent other than on players as a waste of time

But the better and more interesting we can make the experience of attending a game at the LSV , the more likely anybody new will want to return , I remember well the 1 st time I went to Old Trafford and the atmosphere , so while we are unlikely to achieve something on that level , every little thing we do put together can make a difference

The flute song will never be dead and buried, it's always there and it always will be, all it takes is somebody to shout 'Der Der Der, Der Der, Der' and its like its never been away, hopefully next year this song will be being bellowed out on the terraces again creating the atomosphere that the LSV craves.

I`d hazard a guess that Jimmy85 was playing devils advocate, just like Scooter Boy was by bringing the flute song back into the equation.
I can`t remember hearing it this season, thankfully..It had its time but we need new themes.

Yawn. It's a song, the majority of people dont care. It's just the odd few who like to have a whinge.
We don't sing it anymore because every time we do the message board goes crazy. If you come up with a decent chant then we'll sing it. But your never gonna stop that song. Even our players sing it

I remember seeing the Haven players singing the Mean motherf....r song on TV a couple if years back , maybe we should adopt that one ?

As it is, it very rarely gets sung at games and has become something of a monster with the hoo-ha that it raises on here. Doesn't do anyone any harm, but best to leave it in the past and move on.

the only time i heard the flute song this season was when the lads sang it in the bar after the northern rail semi(?)
don't really see whats wrong with it tbh.. you hear way worse walking down market street or getting a bus on a saturday afternoon, they're just words and its up to parents to teach their kids the rights and wrongs of language. in the days of south park and family guy, its actually pretty vanilla in terms of being taken as offensive

This is the last thing I am going to say about this. Those of you who think it's ok ask yourselves these questions. Would you sing it with your young children sat or stood at the side of you and would you be ok if your young children were singing it at a game? When I say young I mean under 14.

Would these same people take their children to see live premier league football? The pinacle of our national game.
