At the time, it appeared that Blanch's inside pass hit a Leigh player and bounced towards our line. A Leigh player (Govin?) dived on the ball, but only succeeeded in knocking it even further towards our line, and Henderson scored. I thought that was a legitimate, if lucky, try. I believe Fred has already confirmed that he thought it was a 'good' try, too.

I dont think thats a bad crowd considering theres no complimentary tickets for the cup games and no season ticket holders can get in apart from SL ones, so like i say no season ticket holders got in for free, so not bad at all.

Fax were hoping for a sell out today but i think we will sell about 2K tickets and Bradford cant give away 3K tickets to their 10K+ season ticket holders. Oh the magic of the cup.

Don't think I'm the only one who was a little surprised at how low the announced crowd was as I can't think of any occasions where either stand has seemed busier (my rule of thumb is how far people spread out in the West, and it was busy right up to the try line at the North end).

How did it look on Blip? I havn't had chance to watch it again yet.

Another thing that annoyed the hell out of me was when Higson was tackled in 1st half and the Cats player took an age to get off ,one of them crawled all over him literally ,then not long after he got Leigh for holding down ,unbelievable !!!!

Well if the noise in the North Stand, [and the West to be honest as they joined in with the singing was anything to go off there were more than that on, the atmostphere was electric, well done to all.

Sounds as though you have the best team in years but with the same or lower crowds ,so what's happening ?

Away followings obviously played [isome[/i part for the most part, but the pull of Super League (even with a losing side) was a big factor for an increased home support. Understandably easier to attract people to watch us play Wigan, Saints, Leeds etc than it is (no disrespect intended) to play Hunslet, Dewsbury et al.

for four our Andy asked me the crowd figures when I got home and when I told him he agreed that was about the amount of tickets they had sold though he hadn't checked the official figures before he left.
for five why should Leigh Centuriions massage the figures as when in this day and age the more through the gates the better the RFL like it

one of my pet hates is fans who moan all the time about refs, but on this occasion i think we were defo hard done to, but that should not be allowed to overshadow what was a truly awe inspiring performance from all our boys, what great entertainment and what amazing skill, courage and guts our brave heros showed, well done lads, lets use it to go on and win both trophies still open tp us. a very very proud leyther.

There was a lot of criticism from Jonathan Davies and Ray French (and the 'Fax crowd of course

) about the Bulls getting away with loads of forward passes today. As they asked, "Why don't the TJ's - except they called them linesmen - say something to the ref about them?"

And lo & behold, there he was with his little flag, our mate Mr. Child! He did eventually advise Phil bentham, about a couple of forward passes, so he was being consistent with Friday night!

The main reason we film from the west stand now is so that the game can be relayed to a computer easily and clips are 'tagged'and shown to the players at half time (and full whilst still fresh in their minds), and as the boxes on or near the half way line are usually full we have made box 4 - whilst not ideal -our home for this season.

Looking at Freds vid and my view of the west stand I would say the figures are correct.

I would say they must be, as LSV produce the attendance figures, based on 'clicks' (if they still do that!) of the turnstiles. Mind you, from the noise - especially of the North Standers - it sounded like there were many more on.
