No it wasn't you who accused me (obviously because you don't accuse me) but I had to include your quote as in the original thread, that's how the convo went. It was clearly C & W who accused me.

And that was my point, Jukes wasn't running the show then and he's not running the show now.

Whoever is incharge next season, including the assisting coaching staff need to take control of the team and discipline. It says a lot when the only players in at 7am every day are Danny Tickle and Micky Higham, whilst other (highly paid) players chose whether and when to turn up to train etc. (Stewart hello)

It's no surprise there is a complete lack of discipline on the field if there is a free for all off it.

Whatever the goings on, to have just an assistant coach go after relegation is just odd. Either they all go, or Cooke was a disruptive influence, in which case he should have gone mid season. Not many coaches will survive the performances we served up after the Wigan game.

I have made that point constantly last season about Tickle and Higham. Consummate professionals, Others not so.

It is worth noting Neil Jukes was always in as well. It will be a totally different environment at Leigh RLFC next year. Interesting to note that those that contracts have been offered to so far have shown they already adhere to such ethics.

Half the battle on the field is actually the preparation off it. Need to be fitter, more focused, more professional throughout.

Not sure the relevance to be honest, my point was that some players had a very good work ethic, yet a lot didn't and were half-d in training, turned up when they wanted etc.

To me it's all part of the problem of last season, with ill-discipline being the main aspect.

Don't think so, Stewart was one of the worse yet played till the end.. I believe Hood went out got smashed and slept in his car at one point, yet still played the final game..

Anyway, last season is done, let's hope it's better next.

Now that Cunninghams future is decided and he should be fully committed to the cause, discipline off the pitch now shouldn't be an issue. He takes no Shiiiiiit and any Leniency shown by Jukes should now be fully stamped on !!

I also think there is a plan B and if Jukes doesnt perform, I can see Cunningham take over. Purtill was mentioned frequently by Derek on GMR on Thursday and I can see him going nowhere.

Young squad ?? Exciting times ahead. To be fair, our signings were not the best last year but Mortimer is a must as i see him as a major Lynchpin for the kids earning their trade.

We seem to have 6 confirmed INS plus 2 possible, a MAY BE and 7 UNKNOWNS (2 of which are unlikely).
We have 14 OUTS.

So based on our best info so far - only about 14 of the existing squad are likely to play for us next season. That leaves 14 to 16 decent new players to find. One hell of an ask!
