what a display by Nicholson...............one very classy talent in the making. Higson for me had a great game too as did Leulai. How old are these lads? I am older than all 3 added together.

Nico is 19 I think and Leuluai is 19/20. Don't know about higson.

Higson is 23, I think.

I had a fun day , Was called a dic*head and an as*hole by 2 seperate Hunslet fans because I started taking the mick out of the ' Forward ' and ' Offside ' shouts at every play the ball , For a while I thought I was at Headingley or Knowsley rd

The guy behind me had one liner all through the game - "That guy with the red cap has not been onside through out the game!" "Fooorrrrrwwwaaarrrrdd!"



I did think we rode our luck a bit in 1st half, but otherwise excellent win with a draw we can't complain about really for semi.

ps Thought the ground was quite good too. Which surprised me with posts I read on here beforehand

Indeed, was a pretty good atmosphere and the view from the upper tier is terrific.

The 1 st ' Bozzo ' near me took great pleasure in suggesting to one of our younger fans that it was a long drop over the barrier if he didn't shut up , once we took the lead and I started my ' performance ' he left , dont you hate bullies who can only pick on kids

That was so funny.

This timid looking steward came to the opening onto the terrace, had a look and dissapeared. A few moments later another steward came with him, asked one of our lads to sit down (who refused) then they both then went back under the stands. Moments later a female steward came - same again. Then the first came back with an 'important' looking guy in a black blazer. He looked and he then they dissapeared. Then a few minutes later about 5 of these guys appeared in their black blazers and only then did one say anything about the lads being stood up. I think he asked them all to sit down in the seated areas but they all suddenly sat on the concrete unseated area. The main steward bloke was so shocked he just laughed, knowing he was on a no win situation so they all give up & went away happy.

It did the job, plus they'd have ended up having to move everyone to the bottom of the lower tier as I couldn't see many empty seats elsewhere. Stewards were spot on about it and thanked us for our good humour on the way out.

Re shouts of forward when the opposition team have the ball Featherstone supporters are unrivalled. Therer is a'with respect mature lady' who watches them who is so one eyed I think she must have been related to Nelson.

Which always makes for good fun at their place - only fair that we put in similar calls of our own, albeit when stood behind the sticks

I also sat on the concrete seats and we had a great time, but one lad just could'nt seem to keep hold of his beer. I think the cold concrete had got to him.

The pair of them must hold a world record for spilt pints, they both managed it in the Melting Pot in Toulouse if memory serves me right!
