but so are some of the reserves (talented) its experienced players leigh need to take on loan i dont see the point of taking young loan players from sl clubs just because they are from a sl club when they are no better than some of leigh reserves in my opinion

Exactly, the step in the reserves div 1 and reserve championship is absolutley massive. The Wigan lads are playing at a higher level week in week out in their reserve league and I think it speaks volumes that the three mentioned are on the brink of the first team at Wigan. Not to mention all of the three are forwards and Flanagan can also cover 6 and 13. Just what we could have done with.

i was asking if you thought they where better players thats all because why else would you want to bring them in. i think leigh need experienced players as in sl/championship players, i dont see the point of taking reserve players from another club even if they are playing at an higher level when there are players in leigh reserves who can offer just as much and have proved it over the season

To be far they can only play whats in front of them up to a couple years ago there was a grading comp played to see which league you went into, t included the SL clubs, our reserves i would say are better then some of the SL ones.

I think at the moment all SL clubs are going through a rigorous selection procedure as the age groups change (again) next year and the dual contract system comes into operation, as for Leigh signing loan players some were offered to us some time ago and all were refused, so are they going to offer them again?

Flanagen was superb for us in the SR last season. I'd have him back in a shot. If Leigh turned him down I'd be asking some serious questions about the coaching team.

We asked for one of those players last week and as far as I know Brian Noble still hasnt got back to us. So apart from kidnap him what can we do?

so leigh take these players on loan to help wigan out who than take them back and what message does that send to the lads in leigh res we dont a faith in your ability, dont get me wrong im not against taking players on loan but try to get proven quality players not reserve players just because they come from a sl club, you have players bustin a gut in the reserves just to be replaced by a reserve player from a sl club just because that club want them to play at another level

my argument is that they wont get out of this mess by taking reserve players from sl clubs just because they are from sl clubs its experienced players they need whos been there done it and got the t shirt, think we will agree to disagree on this one

Personally, all emails should be followed up by a phone call - who knows how long the message could have been in cyper space?? Did this happen?

In my job if I want to buy or sell something I send the email(or indeed fax) enquiry/information (it is now in writing) and then follow it up with a phone call confirming the safe reciept of the message and then discuss.

I am not saying what went on, and who was right or wrong, or whether the email was recieved as I dont have those facts. I am just suggesting how I would expect to do business - its good to talk you know!!

Wigan have recalled 2 of their players because of injuries so cant see any coming from there .

Its class we need and none of ours were wanted at SL.
