Will be interesting to see how many people ask for Gold Membership to be changed to white, defo a marmite shirt but each to their own

I'm not crazy about the shirt, but I'm going to get it.

Following the forum I changed my white membership for gold.

Leopard or Jaguar, I don't care. I never realised so many RL fans were big cat experts.

They're experts in doing the sport down.

All 3 are better than a Jaguar with a hint of red.

It's amateurish and crass. DB must have designed it. Just design a proper rugby jersey. It isn't rocket science. Fast becoming a joke before a ball is kicked. Pathetic!

Derek , it has happened , I’ve seen the players moddeling the kit at the Forum on Monday night , the place was packed , a lot of new sponsers involved , it was very professional , and I would say 75% of the room approved of the shirt .
Myself I don’t like it , but I will be getting a polo shirt , everyone in the room I’m presuming has taken up one of the packages , I’d say around 400 fans was there , it was a very positive evening .
If fans don’t like the new shirt don’t buy it , but support this great squad of players , I’ve now heard Dereks plans for the Clubs future and I’m very excited , he means business .

Graham even though you don’t like it , a lot of fans do , Derek hasn’t designed the shirt , everything is very professional and positive , we have a great playing squad next season 80% of which are on 2 year contracts , we have an Academy team and ladies team in place , Kieron Purtill is the new Coach of them , he was at the Forum on Monday night , a lot of professional back room staff have been employed to run and promote the Club , Derek is organising big pre match entertainment , and the sponsers list is growing weekly .
Be.I even me this isn’t a joke , I don’t like the shirt , but we have to move forward ,this was explained in detail , it’s not been done overnight , yeah some won’t like it , but look at the squad of players .Without these changes we would be a mid table championship team , I don’t want the old guard running the Club .

Interesting that 300 of the 400 approved , of everyone I have spoken to, some of which are ex players, season ticket holders , casual fans I can honestly say not 1 person either liked it or approved of it, you will either love it or hate it. My own view is it looks very poor and tacky. The PR we have received has been monumental but we have put a target on our back so people shouldn’t be surprised when we are shot at

Ian, I meant the concept design. Although I do prefer the concept ones, that won't happen.

Oobviously I didn’t count the show of hands,but everyone around me seemed to put their hand up approving the shirt, I’ve said i don’t like it, but it was interesting to see the rooms reaction .

Well it certainly divides opinion that’s for sure. Was there any indication of further recruitment, understandably Lam has other pressing matters with a World Cup Final on Saturday and I don’t think there is an immediate rush to announce anything now but I do feel all the negativity around the re brand , mainly by others , has took the shine off a decently assembled squad.

Charlie, you will see in other posts my opinion on DB is that he should be applauded for the team and the good times, but his taste in clothing is reflected in the new top. No style, no class. Just make a proper rugby shirt. Personally, I wouldn't be seen dead in it and by the large number of comments I've seen, neither will a lot of other folk. At least he's been forced to back-pedal on retaining our traditional colours. And as I've posted before I don't like the fact that he thinks the fans are only intelligent enough to be consulted for naming the mascot, which I see is inspired by a really tacky programme, The Masked Singer lol. I can imagine Les Battersby will be inside it

Graham ,I know in the past your comments on Derek have been very supportive , as for his tastes in fashion , well it all depends on the individual , iremember a pair of purple patent leather shoes I used to wear they had gold buckles ,and my flares were huge , I even wore a pair of leather trousers, so my taste was probably terrible.

Going in with 3 quality halves is a very shrewd approach. Ben with either other half will more than hold his own and we will need all three at some point. I thought he was excellent last year and his defence and effort all around cannot be ignored. He is also a reliable kicker as a bonus. There will be a few of our rivals that do not have the strength in depth we have in the halves.

Still desperate for props.

Can add O’Brien to the Trio of half backs , admittedly more of a FB but can easily play in the halves should be needed and we have decent cover at FB in Hardaker, agree with coverage that Reynolds brings and as Binosh alludes to we could do with some props

Quality prop or two more needed for sure also.

Hardaker on his day is still possibly the top fullback in superleague will be very surprised if he starts at centre , with leutelle being a cert it's up to chamberlain to put a stamp on the other centre spot , O'Brien will be a cracking back up for full back and the halves . We are very fortunate to be in a position to switch hardaker / chamberlain and O'Brien to what suits the team best as the season progresses but I'm sure Zak would have made it clear what his preferred position is
