Reports of the behaviour of some of our 'fans' is really bad for the Club, a lot worse than any on field discipline issues levelled at the team.

It is to be hoped that these are not 'regular' fans & maybe good time Charlie's, but in any case it's just not good.

I hope nobody's day has been ruined by these people.

From what I heard they were "feytin' amongst themselves" on the car park at Leigh.

Decent effort with Brierley in class form.
2nd half started poorly and looked out of sorts, it was the difference between winning and losing for me. I'm certain We'll learn from it, a great effort in the cup this year.

Lot of NEW fans, over 4000 supporters today, 2 years ago we were getting 1600 at home games. A few ****s on our coach, who were 'singing songs' on the way back like we had won. Me, I was pizzed off because we had lost...no "hi ho silver lining" for me......mind you my wife calls me VICTOR MELDREW !!!!

Watched the game in Benidorm but was gutted I could not be there.

Very proud of our lads today they are class as fans of Wigan Wire and Saints told me.

I'll be at Workington next week.

I understand that there was an issue on one of the buses at Warrington, the police arrived and ours plus two others were escorted all the way to LSV.

By the time I'd got my first pint in the Wren about 5 other police cars had turned up plus two vans, the police had a walk around the Wren think they were looking for the original trouble maker(s), but made no arrests nor was there any further trouble as far as I know.

A few idiots today spoiled the day for a lot of genuine fans , I was punched several times in the head trying to calm down grown men who were behaving like children

We had problems again with numbers on the coaches outbound , and this resulted in similar issues inbound , but that isn't an excuse for what happened , we had children and parents upset , and I apologise to anybody who decided to make their own way home

Unfortunately this will mean that the coaches running to our other big games this season ( Bradford and the 2 SL matches in the middle 8 ) will be reduced to regulars only

I also hope once the dust settles you reconsider the coaches for big games, as without yours and Lynda's efforts then our numbers would be vastly reduced.

He was at the FAX game yesterday, said his shoulder was strapped up.

I was at LSV when the buses arrived back . It was embarrassing to see a guy with a child wanting to fight with others. His mates police and an elderly lady tried to calm him down he was lucky not to be arrested. Whoever you were you were a disgrace to the club.

Lynda and everyone who helps you do an excellent job organising the coaches it's just a shame some FANS ? don't appreciate your hard work .

A good effort when you consider Wire have spent something like 800K more than Leigh on their team, there wasnt that much between the teams. Again Ive said before your backs are class and as a whole easily good enough for SL, a bit more fire power rather than workmanlike in the pack and you could give SL a real shot.

Looking forward to playing Leigh again in the middle 8's(touch wood).

Leigh were the better side with ball in hand and that was due to the half backs. Ridyard organises well and compliments the excellent brierley whereas our half backs continue to look completely lost. Couple of decent additions in the right places and Leigh would make a top 6 super league side, clearly good enough for super league as it is.

Sorry too hear about the ed up tools who have jumped on the bad wagon for a day on the ! We need too identify them an ban them from Leigh games if possible! We like numbers but no idiots in the fans!

Sorry for anyone who was party to all the trouble on the coaches yesterday
It won't happen again
I will be trying out a new method what will be :-
Bookings will be as normal from me and Kath after home games in the bar
Or via Gillian on the market stall
No internet text booking s etc
Everyone will get a ticket like before and their name and contact details taken as before
However the changes will be boarding big games only will be from the LSV only
We will swop your ticket as you board for a wristband that will be colour coded to match the coach you get on is that coach will have a same red card in the window everyone on that coach gets a red wristband
Coming back you show the driver your wristband
They get given back as you get off to use next time
For back up we also have the list of people names etc
This should stop most if not all of the problems

Well, the dust is settling on yesterday's game, and I have to admit to a sense of disappointment and frustration. I know the lads played their hearts out and I'm proud of all of them. Yet, we weren't firing on all cylinders, for my money.

Granted, if every player in a team is on top form, all the time, you probably have the impossible! However, for me, a number of small points seemed to make a big difference to our 'usual' form.

Was Gregg McNally fully fit after his battering, the week before? His tackling was virtually non-existent yesterday, and how many of their high balls were allowed to bounce? That's not like Gregg, who is usually as safe as houses in that situation. That said, the guy was as exciting and creative as ever, on attack.

How many howlers occurred between our wingers and full back? I reckon each of them had at least one, and they were costly. Again, those mistakes apart, they both had excellent games.

How often is Riddy's goal kicking success rate down to 40%? Very rarely, if ever. Again, the lad was superb, in attack and defence, so it's harsh to criticise - yet it made a difference to the scoreline, especially as O'Brien was on fire, with his goal-kicking.

As our 'troll' from Halifax keeps pointing out, our pack, on yesterday's showing, were found a little wanting. Of course, a Penky, or Higham, or Barlow, or Acton, could have made a big difference but, Beswick and Hock apart, we seemed to lack the fire-power up front.

Anyway, I guess it's all a case of 'what if' and, in the final analysis, one (or two

) more cup games would probably have caused a major distraction to the ultimate aim for the season. However, it's food for thought that we may be playing the Wolves, or certainly teams of their calibre, before this season is over, and we have to find ways of eradicating the costly errors, and fronting up to some big packs.

Well was very pleased with that performance yesterday, played some good rugby, scored some fantastic trys. We did a lot of hard work in defence but Wire were so much quicker and more skilful than what we're used to. Agree with Rowley "The best team won but only just." Been saying for a while we'd be pushing for the top 8 of SL, finishing 8th or 9th, we've just narrowly lost to the team in 7th so would say that's right. We'd definitely not look out of place in Super League.

What a fantastic cup run though, played all full time teams and knocked 2 Super League teams out! When was the last time a Championship team knocked out 2 Super League teams.

You played well yesterday and your support during the game was the best I have seen at the HJ this season. You will be ok in SL and you play decent rugby. as per earlier posts a few "fans" were OTT is the town centre but most of them didn't have any colours on and I am guessing they were bandwagon fans with to much ale and missing a punch up while football is out of the frame
