Well I've been a season ticket holder since 2001 & think it's great that more people are coming to watch Leigh. Always annoyed me seeing people driving past LSV & Hilton Park & thinking to myself "What could you possibly have better to do on a Sunday? Oh, you're going to traipse round Asda then watch some rubbish on TV, maybe go to the pub & complain about how “there's nothing in Leigh". Sounds great." Plus more fans = more money = better players so all good to me.

I find this a very strange statement, where’s it come from?

I’ve been watching Leigh for almost going on for 50 yrs and have no issue at all with newbie’s or returnees, nor have I seen any adverse comments from anyone else. In fact most of us ‘old guard’ may have different views on several things but one thing we all seem to agree on is its great to see an increase our attendances.

As LS says the more the merrier as far as I’m concerned.

Same here, i want 12,700 fans back for every Leigh Match now on in. Just think of the enjoyable journey we would all be going on with those attendance figures week in week out.

The Watcher thinks that this is a bad draw for our club at this stage of the comp. The Watcher would have relished a good cup run this season but this game may be the end of that hope.

Well if that is right we can concentrate on our main aim which is promotion.

After last season however I go to every game expecting us to win. Think our players do too.

How many do we think will turn up for this CC match v Salford, bearing in mind it will be televised ?

My guesstimate is for c4500 > 5000, as I would be surprised if Salford bring 1k away. Judging by their home attendance & the TV coverage I would guesstimate 700 > 900 Salford fans will travel.

Should be 3,500 to 4,000 Leigh + neutrals at the LSV.

5000 ish gate - would have been a lot more on the sunday

The number of neutrals will be down due to the TV factor.

Your 1st crowd was impressive was because, 1st game of season, promoted well becauase Moi Moi and the fact it the 1st time a well known club haa played a league game at the LSV.

Whats happened to BeLEIGHve, hahahhaa, as for the Salford, I'd hazard a guess, it will bring more away fans from Salford because it's on a Saturday. Plus the ticketing prices are wrong, why pay 20 to watch against a team in lower competition? My honest opinion is more effort needs to be done to help the appeal of the once great CC, attendences have been on the decline for years, something needs to be done!

Its not £20 if you get your ticket from Leigh. Your own club ripping you off, tut tut.

Well I know one lad from Salford who will be there and it's the first time he'll have watched Salford live this season.

Have to say I think Leigh will win comfortably though.

The best way to get a massive gate is to tell that daft Salford owner to stop acting like a rabbit caught in the headlights and to allow Hock to play he,s terrified that we are gonna smash his cast of Shameless to smithereens ,which we are gonna do anyway with or without Gaz Hock but with Gaz it gives that little bit of extra X Factor
