I took your question as a constructive one mate.

If I'm 100% honest I'm not coming with all the answers or as some kind of hero nor is maurice I don't believe from my point of view it's about exploring possibilities and seeing if this is viable or not.

I've received PMs from people I think have the right intentions for the fans, club and town and this is what's needed if it ere to happen it needs to be fan focused and fan driven but also utilising skills of comitted and professional commercial minded buisness people.

Like I've stated I don't want to be a RL club director or owner but would if voted for by fans invest both finance and acumen if the project were right.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe anyone said anyone was more important than anyone else?

Every fan is as important as each other every investor would be equal some would invest more than others but the goal and end target would be shared by all.

Trust me i'd like you to be successful with this venture as the current model clearly isn't working for all of us,although watching the miners hasn't been a bad alternative

I may be nieve and obviously don't know what's happened in the past but I am a firm believer that the past is the past and we need a new way forward if we are to break the mould.

Im not someone who's hiding behind a username either as everyone who has Sent me a message now knows who I am in return and if enough people want something then things could happen but I am just getting a feel at this stage as to if enough people want it or not.

I've been reading this thread with interest and whilst I applaud SRW1996 and believe his intentions are honourable, I think it would help matters if he made himself known to all. I appreciate others already know but the 'ordinary' prospective investor won't, so perhaps he should make himself known so that these people can decide whether to trust him or not.

I'd really love to see something like this for the club but TBH I wouldn't give it 6 months before everyone starts moaning and bitching and falling out about every decision that's made. Also, would the new investments be enough to pay for a new CEO and all the other staff we'd need (most of which we currently get for free).

Could I just state at this moment in time I have no official connection to Leigh Centurions or it's Directors.

My views have been formed on what I have seen as both a fan for a number of years and more recentley as a sponser and also having been a guest of the club at games in the last couple of months.

I have not in my opinion divulged any Infomation which I should not have on a public forum but being an honest forthright person by nature i felt this thread started by someone else by the way could enable me to see if enough serious intrest could be generated to at least take things a step further into face to face discussions to see what if anything is possible along these lines.

Incidentally I thought with me having no connection to any board member past or present or having never been involved in any capacity at Leigh it would be viewed by fans as a positive.

People will pay 50 quid for a certificate saying that they own two feet of woodland in the Scottish highlands and they get to call themselves a Laird or Lady. Surely having a stake in your own club, no matter how small and apparently worthless on paper, would be far more appealing?

In response to your second question personally i believe Trevor Barton is an asset but is lumbered with an old dead horse he's flogging like mad. I also believe alll the people who are working for nothing are the lifeblood of the club and the cornerstone of its future and I commend every single person whatever they do whoever they are there wouldn't be a club without you all

. These people would be required more than ever and would even own a part of it if they chose.

Ive not come on here slagging anyone off or calling out sack the board etc I just believe there could posibly be another way if enough people want it enough and it would mean a break from the norm which has never really worked and I don't think that's unfair to say?

I did express an intrest and looked to see if i could add value to the existing set up however im not a billionaire with money to throw away so i told Trevor I'm not willing to invest in the club under its current structure for reasons I can't and wont discuss on a public forum but he understands.

I would invest in the people of Leigh and the fans though if it were right and can't be any fairer than that.

I knew by posting on here I'd either get the response I feel it needs to take it forward or simply get abuse and shot down. Jury is still out we shall see.

Like I say I've got no hidden agenda or history with anyone at the club past or present and will say on here what I'm willing to say to anyone's face it's the way I operate.

Conflict won't get anyone anywhere Trevor knows my views though I've heard nothing from him of late and so do others at the club.

The TDC,LISA and the PSG prove that to me,also all the fans who tipped in thousands of ££££s on top of there usual outlay at the back end of 2011 and 2012 to keep the club alive

Sounds good and year one would probably work out ok its what happens 10 years down the line but I guess that would need to be included in the plan.

Now since its infancy the majority have chosen a non-de-plume on here myself included, no malice intended by it.

Anyway back to topic it seems a great idea.

Agreed all of these things plus the lottery etc give the club a fantastic platform to go forward with and what better way for fans to know they actually have a voice and are not just a number than to launch a new suporter owned club?

I've read about the touchdown club and spoke to people about it and same with LISA what a great bunch of people.

Also what about the guy who runs the market stall some of the things I've been told about his efforts should be highlighted more than they are.

Some of the messages I've received today and tonight give cause for optimism.

I think if the fans were party to financial info via minutes of meetings and knew how things really were in a club were they knew fellow fans on the terraces were custodians also they would be far happier to trust board and the board would feel under far less pressure to gamble on budgets to agree contracts it can't really afford based on its current gates and overheads.

A realistic budget next year under new fan ownership could work and set a platform to build on year in year out. Get the feel good factor back and the bandwagon rolling again.
