I think everyone should make the effort to get there early too for the pre match entertainment. Zoe Unsworth will be singing songs from the 70's so that should be fun and I believe all the pre match music will be following the 70's theme.

Looks like not being on Sky is the best thing for us after all. I've spoke to two lots of people over the last couple of days who could probably be described as lapsed fans and when I asked if they were going to the game, they all said 'No we'll probably go to the pub to watch it' and when I told them it wasn't on the TV they all said 'Oh, we'll probably go then'

So 'up yours' Sky.

The litmus test will be if they go the week after against Hunslet.. it would be galling to get 5000 on and then see 1200 for Hunslet again....

I know exactly what you mean't, all the ones who haven't been for ages, get to see us tonked by Leeds, state them lot are crap, and then say, Im not wasting my money again.

If there's a few who get the bug again, then it's still worth it - otherwise what's the point of trying to market the game? We might as well just stick to the regulars and have an empty stadium.

looking forward to this game. I have my brother son and nephew coming along to a Leigh match for the first time in donkeys years. This one should be looking at a gate of upto 5000 for this.

Great to hear of so many lapsed fans etc being attracted to the game. Certainly boosting my hopes of a decent crowd.

get into town int week. Any players not going down pit get em on bradshawgate, Get Barton wheeled out. Put the daft pig in mall, ring leeds up,ask to borrow that rhino costume. Put Freer in it send him to mall as well with the pig ,sell shirts, sell tickets and lets make some bl00dy money in this game,

Not a bad idea to get ronny the rhino down here with parky pig for a couple of days to help promote the game in the town
