Leigh played very well in the secondhalf but Widnes was very poor.I left 10 mins before the end because the team was a disgrace.You have lost a few hundred fans for the Qtrs as you will smash us as we are rubbish.I wish we could watch a winning team and again poor recruitment.I fancy Leigh for the league and well done today.Wish i could watch a team like Leigh.

I agree with you 'rennie'. Everyone played well, but Mick seemed to trigger it off in the second half. The way he put Nanyn away, for Goulden's try was sheer class. Well played Mick!

What a second half that was! I really thought we were struggling at half time, Widnes looked a lot better but that second 40 mins was the best 40 I have seen from a Leigh side in the 10 years I have been watching them!

You look around the Championship teams and it could appear that 'on paper' we shouldn't be as good as some, however what has/is happening at Leigh at the moment is that the coaching staff have put together a squad that are capable as playing as a team, it isn't overburdened with big ego's, the 'lads' appear to be friends with each other and enjoy each others company wthout any cliques, and each player helps each other, did anyone else notice that when Sam Hopkins came on the field he was obviously very nervous but JT went to him and actually hugged him and slapped him on the back and you could see Sam visibly relax and start to smile, well done JT, also Stu Littler is proving one heck of a signing his leadership and general enthusiasm is rubbing off on his team mates.

I think you're right Fred. I didn't notice Sam Hopkins, but I have noticed time and time again Littler go over and gee up lads and even the crowd when it's been needed. His professionalism seems to be rubbing off on a lot of the squad.

it is good to be a leigh supporter again but we've achieved nothing yet.
We should also remember how far behind fax and fev we were last season.

as a outsider but a lover of RL in general it seems the board had the knaus to appoint an experienced coach plus Robbie which seemed the catalyst both on and off the field - the difference in the professional approach was obvious from the start IMO - onwards and upwards !

Wish TO13 would try the same approach .....

I cant really think of anything our bod have done wrong in the last two season.
Its now down to the people of leigh now to support the club.
Hopefully the last two games and the next one against widnes will be the turning point we need.
There must have been at least 2500 from leigh on sunday,hopefully they all come back next time.

were we that far behind them though? only injuries to the players at vital times put us behind them dont forget early on we beat both those teams

I think we ended up about 13 point behind fev,thats quite a big gap over the season.

Iv'e no doubt at all that we've closed the gap on them this season with the signing we've made but is it enough with the experiance they've got?.
