I still don't think because of the timeline that any deal has been finalised and the press statement has been rushed out to try and allay any fears fans may have, it reads like a statement from a firm of solicitors and we all know they say a lot but gawd only knows what they mean, but as can be seen from the posts on here they cant please everybody.
As for cluless well maybe at this early stage they are in what the future -certainly beyond this season - may hold, but lets be honest if they had said nothing then some people would have pillorised them for that.

The longer the club left us without any statement/press release the more anxious fans would have become. Well done to everyone involved, attracting new buyers/investors will be stressful times. Lets all wait and see what happens but i am confident we will be fine.

If an additional 500 fans are required then this suggests we need an additional £75000 or so each season. We have Blackburn Rovers reserves playing at the Sports Village, their owners appear to be extremly wealthy, perhaps the club should approach them to see if they would consider investing £100000 a year into our club. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Meanwhile we all need to invest £2 on the EURO lottery Friday and again on Tuesday if the jackpot is not won Friday. £10m into the club would do if invested properly and still enough left to keep the other half happy!

Its usually bottles and Beer Cans that get stopped in sports stadia.
I've never had any pop/crisps removed from my bag and they look in it virtually every home game.
If it has happened to you / someone you know it might be worth asking the LSV why they did that to you if you get a chance as Id imagine the head people of the LSV don't know it happened

That 500 relates to the rest of the season , so you can double that if you are looking at a full season , plus of course any contingencies or monies paid in full at the start of the season

The public is not daft,say if we tickty tick tick boxes this year and it counts,why should the club and more importantly how can a club fund 2 more successful seasons until projector man gets his thing out and flash your clubs name up in lights?

Is widnes the model,I suspect yes,win year one,offload ,twiddle thumbs,promoted.

Then back to the public,why would they still turn out in force if club is only going through the motions?

If any club ,like widnes have done,maintain a 3k average they have worked bloomin wonders.

Lets hope we get to tickety boo this year,as year two looks a slog with a big fat super league club splashing money around next season will make it hard in our league

Look let's get one thing straight here , why do we have this ' fixation ' with ticking boxes and sneaking into SL through the cat flap , we don't want SL , believe me , for very pound anybody has put in , in the Championship , they would need to put three pound in , in SL

So unless we have somebody waiting to do that , and the figures have been discussed on here , what is the point , let's just be a good Championship club , as good as we can be and hopefully the owners of the club , whoever they end up being are clever enough to realise that we need a lot more support from the town before we even consider SL , and they have a plan on how to get it

Here's an idea. Tell the friggers at the council (LSV committee), to stop charging the club to use the ground.

I'm convinced they must be ripping us off something royally!!!

Well I can understand them charging us for costs when we are actually playing there , however I don't understand Why they charge us rental for offices when the bloody thing was built for us and there are a plethora of offices that will never be rented out at the LSV , also I would be interested to see the wage bill for the administration staff that are employed at the LSV as well

Basically I asked a director what happen if we didnt get the 500 extra fans and he said that we probably wouldn't have a club, so if the people of the town want a club they have to start to support it, in any way they can.

I'm sure the rental is a lot less for Millward's office etc than it could be as well when you consider the location of it, if you know what I mean.

I tell you, given the 'crowd-pulling potential' of the remaining visitors to LSV this season, (Halifax excepted) we will neded more like an extra 1,000, to get to 3,000.

Mind you, an extra 500 would be great.

hopefully if we remain undefeated , win the NRC the last few games will attract a few more especially if we lift the league title
