That would be great. It would be good to see Martyn knuckle down and guide us back into SL! Glad Gregg's staying too - I thought he was hard done by, being left out on Saturday, but thought it was brilliant the way he supported Ryan Hampshire in the warm up.

It is important to understand that some of our players will be in huge demand and others not quite so, who will now be edging their bets for a while praying for SL contracts.

For those leaving us , others will be coming in of equal or superior standard from what I can see. Deals are being confirmed all the time that are awaiting announcement.

Luke Walsh was a done deal. Catalan were aware that he had signed for Leigh. However the situation has now changed. They can speak to him again with the added leverage of Super League Rugby League thrown in.

If however he still believes in our vision and if Leigh can run with pivots of Ridyard / Walsh / Reynolds / Mortimer next year, then that will give everyone renewed optimism that we can get back on track

It really is a game of chess before Christmas but there are players willing to stick their colours to our 2018 mast.

How are you supposed to build a team in this situation. Shouldn't there be some loyalty shown from both team and players or is that a naive view? Some reassurances need to be put in down by the RFL to help the process for all parties.

Unfortunately all this mess is caused by RFL rules designed to stop clubs going bust. It was fair enough when a club was going down into a league where salary cap is halved, but if a club shows they can honour the contracts, they should be stuck to. And players can request transfers or have clauses in should they want them.

I believe Rhys Evans is no longer coming and if so, I am OK with this as he is as much use as a chocolate firegard in attack !!

I am disappointed if Clare has gone. The club have gone out of their way to support him through his injury and the least he can do is give it a shot for next season.

I still think we will have a good squad next season and a FT environment creates the BIGGEST gap in the Championship by a mile.

If Paul Cooke has gone, fair enough. Jukes needs to follow him. I cannot see how Ridyard can stay with Jukes still at the helm IMHO.

Snowy I agree about both your points about Clare and Jukesy, the Club has done everything to support Clare when he was injured and whatever happens Jukesy needs to resign.

i still think MH will do another 12 months, i hope he can get his body up for it because if we are to return next year we will need him

What makes people think Martyn would be back? Jukes hasn't even acknowledged him since he was fired off to Huddersfield? Do you think Jukes is big enough to welcome back and admit his mistake?

Because Paul Cooke has gone and more so because people know I am a never wrong smart ar$e.

Micky will do another year, you could see in the interview how broken he was... He will be back this year and get us up!! Look at who we have signed up too now. McNally at 1 Reynolds at 6 crooks in centre Acton at prop it's a good foundation.
