first i have heard of any incident with bottles, what happened?

While Littler was having his handbags with Bailey three near full bottles landed in the In Goal Area. Fortunately the officials didn't make anything of it and the bottles were kicked off the pitch.

decieded to act hard and throw 4 plastic bottles at the leeds team pathatic behaviour and its my guess they will be identified on CCTV within that end of the ground...Bottles of any kind should,nt be sold only plastic glasses.

cheers for that. absolute idiots whoever chucked them, obviously not true leigh fans, well i hope not anyway. hopfully the actions of a few idiots wont spoil what was a great occasio for our club.

Two or three idiots threw plastic beer bottles on the pitch after a bust up on the Littler wing.

One of them was ejected by the stewards the others "escaped". Idiotic behaviour. Have never seen any of them before.

Must have more money than sense throwing full bottles at the prices charged lol

Absolutely shameful behaviour, always the minority spoiling it for the rest of us. Glad at least one culprit was ejected and hopefully banned, though I doubt we'll be seeing them any time soon anyway.

No I disagree it`s the couple of brain dead half-wits who are to blame. I had a couple of bottles of Carlsberg during the game but on both occasions I did nt feel it necessary to throw any as a projectile onto the pitch.
Lets Identify the "Low-life" and ban these muppets for life.

I too hope the club do the right thing. I cheeses me off that the local library knobs turn up for big games.

I think the bottles where aimed at the ref as they only entered the field after the no try decision. I agree we shouldn't be selling any thing that could be used as a missile. Ruined a great Leyther turn out for me. Well not quite ruined but tainted it.

Its a shame a tiny minority can't be trusted not to throw a bottle in the first place, but as others have said hopefully LSV won't give these idiots a chance again in future and serve in a plastic glass.
These idiots let us down, but luckily seemed nobody made a big fuss about it.

Let it go, inform the police if you know them. Its not worth a discussion about 3/4 prix on a public forum when 5500 others had a great night and the Leeds fans seem of that same opinion.

Talk up the positives, there were many.

The bottles were aimed at Bailey, the ref was 20 yards away where the try was "scored". However does it matter who was the target?

At the end of the day it is a negative when a cracking night should have been totally positive.

Maur there are other threads to talk up the positives. Personally I hope that someone at the LSV reads this and alters the catering so it can never happen again. Only allow bottles under the stand and make it that your beer has to be in a plastic glass if you take it to your seat or terrace, that type of thing. Forums are for discussing topics that maybe to the benefit of our club. I never ever want to see that again at my club.

a lady steward seemed to be stood up on some raised area at the back of the north stand pointing out to other stewards who had been throwing the bottles.we know we are gonna get these idiots at big games so we just have to learn from it for the sake of our licence for super league.
some places ive been told at the wendyball game dont allow beer on the terracing areas (dont know if thats true).
plastic glasses probably the way to go because why should we have to change things drastically for 2 or 3 empty heads.

You're not allowed to drink in view of the pitch at football games, and in Scottish grounds you can't buy beer at all. I'd hate to see a situation where you can't take alcohol to your spot in the stand, but putting it in to a plastic pint pot might be the best alternative for bigger games.

I bought a pint of bitter and had a can poured into a plastic glass. Why can't the same be done with the bottles?

Unfortunately not a one off incident as regular mewmbers of the North Stand wil know - it also happened 2 weeks ago

Did any of you see the tools doing this, I was in the West but have spoken to my lad who was in North and he said they had shirts on which were not Leigh's - should be easy to ID if true.

Speaking to the stewards when we were taking the flags down, one was booted out and they have CCTV of it happening.

Has your Father in Law done this sort of thing before, then?

This is now the 3rd home game this season I have witnessed an object(s) thrown over my head from the back of the North Stand.

Plastic bottles thrown again last night, a bottle thrown into the Halifax contingent the other week, and a Leigh fan hit on the head ( I think he is called jeff - Over 6 foot tall)) by an object thrown in the Friday night York match. Jeff(?) was ready to immediately confont the thug but no one would/could point him out.

I can not believe people are wishing for this shameful behaviour to be swept under the carpet. It is a slur on the good name of our club and an insult to it's many good true fans. I hope we put CCTV still's of the cuprits on the website for us to name and shame and then we can ban them all and rid ourselves once and for all.

I'd put money on someone on here knowing the culprit/s but the old stigma of 'being a grass' would be trotted out, well get real this could well result in our club being heavily penalised because of the actions of a couple, and for me NOT telling who they are is as bad as the person/s actually carrying out the act.

I don't think anyone wants this type of behaviour sweeping under the carpet. Not the people on here anyway.
