Ste, have sky announced there game for that week yet?

If all goes to plan it means we play widnes on the 18th july the week before the walk at blackpool,surely sky wouldn't want to but the same game on again 4 days later on the thursday???

No game announced for that week but as long as Leigh and Widnes meet in the final I cant see Sky making both teams and the same fixture back up 4 days later.

Ive got more then the £100 and not even actually asked anyone yet, how good is that.

If someone can tell IM the details please he is going to walk at least the first couple of miles with you but needs to know where when etc..

Dear All,

We are just 2 short weeks away from the walk, in fact this time in 14 days we should be in and around the Stobart Stadium. In total now 55 people are scheduled to take part in the walk and between the 55 walkers they have created 32 groups which will at the very least guarantee £3200.

Having spoken to a number of you in recent weeks an awful lot of you have raised well in excess of £100 so the overall figure could get close to the original target of £10,000. Can I ask you all to try and tempt another friend to join the walk and further raise an additional £100 if we can all achieve that then the £10K target will be shattered.

I know the club really appreciate all your efforts in raising this money. Ian Millward is going to join us for the start of the walk and will leave us to continue our journey at some point in the morning. I have written to all the trade papers in the hope of getting a little more publicity over the next 2 weeks and Ian himself is going to promote the walk at every opportunity he has. I am also continuing the search for an overall sponsor for the walk and wont give up on this until the walk is complete.

Can I ask you all to drop me a mail confirming how many of your group require a coach seat back from Widnes. That's it for now and I will send another update next week with the route of the walk and other details.

Once again many thanks for your support and don't forget to spread the word.

Ive got close on 200 pounds without asking anyone so I think we should get close to the target of £10000, i will get a bucket on the day too, and ask all the away support to contribute to the cause, I go away next Sat and gt back on Sat before game,the supporter coaches will be sorted,also the coach for the walkers needing transport home(unless someone decides to jump off a bridge lol). Yeah £200 been donated to the walk by the players which is a great gesture.

Dear All,

Just 7 days to go until we make the journey on foot to the Stobart Stadium, Widnes. There a number of updates one of which is a fantastic gesture by the club to offer the prize of a meal for two to the Dewsbury home game on Sunday 1st August for the walker who raises the most sponsorship money by Wednesday 28th July. It is a fabulous incentive by the club to encourage every walker to raise the highest amount possible to enable them to enjoy the home match against Dewsbury in the corporate suite with club officials and sponsors.

As well as that gesture some other brief updates :-

1) Coach Ian Millward will join us for the first hour of the walk.
2) Gerrards Butchers of Atherton, Market Street have made a great offer of refreshments for all walkers.
3) Trafalgar Travel have kindly sponsored the coach home for any walkers that have registered and need a coach seat home. (A Reminder to anyone who has not contacted me to do so if they need a seat on the coach home).
4) The Leigh Centurions squad of players have also fully supported the walk and have made a fantastic gesture by sponsoring the event a total of £200.
5) Just a reminder as mentioned above the Leigh Centurions club have offered a wonderful prize of a meal for two for the walker who pledges the most sponsorship money to myself or Lynda by Wednesday 28th July. Please note myself or Lynda will not be eligible for this prize.

Finally many thanks to everyone who has supported this event by however means possible. Remember it is not too late to sign up and pledge your support.
