Data collection , now all we need next is to collect the same from everybody entering the stadium who is not in possession of a season ticket , I suggest a chat with the local college's as data collection is all part of ' marketing ' and we have college students taking marketing at A levels and as part of business courses

Thing is though Matt , these are people who are already coming , so yes having their details is important , what we need is the details of the people who might consider coming down , we need to give them a taster , that taster needs to be a good experience , that experience will be better if the stadium has more people in it and an atmosphere , you only get that atmosphere by having people in the stadium

Then we already have their details, as they will have entered the stadium by virtue of buying match ticket - it seems that you're talking about "first timers" when in reality we need to be targetting the "no timers".

Alright then - how do we get the details of people who might consider coming down? And don't say ask around in Leigh as we all know that Leigh town centre is inhabited only by junkies and Greggs sausage rolls during the week.

We do a ' blanket ' coverage , we make the LSV available to every single person in the borough , we hassle them , cajole them , make them an offer they can not refuse , we knock on doors , 100 per game , sell , sell , sell , sell

We could always send the lads round and drag them out of their arm chairs and to the LSV Steve, that might work.

We filled in this form at Leigh East last week but last night we were told that we wont be receiving the tickets, i dont know if it is just our group not getting them or if its everyone?

I've emailed the club for clarification, but the guy who's organised it on behalf of Leigh East, has posted this on the East site last night.

I’ve just spoken to the guy arranging the tickets on behalf of Leigh East, he was down there last night and he’s not aware of any issue with regards to tickets, he has spoken to Hannah this morning and all his tickets are now available for him to collect from LSV as agreed.

Would be interested to know who at East said this as it wasnt the case, Mick Woods and Glow have worked hard to get as many as poss signed up for the tickets. Do you recall who told you this Ron?

I know of someone going tomorrow with a free ticket and he has only been on the ground twice. He is taking his partner and two children who have never been there. Ticket came from a primary school. Club have done their job now it is up to the players to give them some entertainment.

To be honest I’ve had next to nothing to do with this, all the credit has to go to the 5 lads representing the Amateur clubs and Hannah for organising it.



The Leigh East issue was nothing more than a simple misunderstanding that was quickly cleared up by Mick.

Lets hope all the kids have a great time, and make loads of noise.

same 'deal' has been given to Golborne, Atherton Dragons and Miners, dunno about any other clubs.

if most people take up this offer then 2000+ might be turning up
i hope they do should make for a great atmosphire at least in the south stand.might even get the rest of us going as well.

40 adult and 40 kids tickets were available for each of the five clubs (400 tickets total), have they all gone? Sorry I don’t know.

The five clubs are Atherton Dragons, Golborne Parkside, Leigh East, Leigh Miners Rangers, and Westhoughton Lions.
