I know RL, and it's [ihard[/i - but [ifair [/imost weeks. That's why most fans watch it - because it's as honest as sport comes these days.

But Leigh have been poor, discipline-wise, lately. There is no getting away from that.

Fans that think we don't have discipline issues, at present, are kidding themselves.

It wasn't[i all [/iHalifax today either. Both teams were as bad as each other.

Different scenarios,as was today.You play each game as it comes,not for what will be or has been.

We all own those Leigh blinkers atomic. Some of us can however take them off occasionally

Said earlier in the thread Leigh need to ignore the off the ball cheap stuff some clubs use as a means of levelling the game out, but its easier said than done.
The fact though that for all the talk of poor discipline play by Leigh its other teams players who have taken more bans than our own when in front of the RFL!
Lets not forget Halifax also had players carded today....

I have just watched Paul Rowleys interview on LCTV,interestingly the niggle started before the match had even started.

Apparently Halifax tried to trample through our warm up,to which in PR's words we sent them packing,a tactic they tried in the game at their place,they came for a fight,they got one,and now their fans are crying about how rough and dirty Leigh are!

What have you seen that makes you think we will handle niggles and cheap shots from Bradford any differently to how we handled it today?

With us Greg, it was games against Leeds in our wonderful SL season. It was ridiculous how many they got away with when they beat us by 70-odd at our place. If the ref had given any of them, it would have been a much closer game!



As for today, by the way, that was uncomfortably close - and I thought the pass to Kay was forward too. Still, that's the trouble when you have pacy outside backs - they will insist on overtaking the guy who's about to give them the ball!

Mr Rowley its time to earn your corn and bring back the Leigh of the first 21 games of this incredible run. Something is not right despite the fact we are still winning. The 3 day break has not helped to sort out the heads of some players.

Why are you all suprised? Leigh have always been a team that gives away penalty shot and loves a fight!! Fax always come over and want it rough this is the same every year!! I'm not worried we are going through a bad patch and still winning! As for the brawls as a rugby player first thing your coac will tell you is one in all in and rowley was s naughty bugger!! Some fans overreact to everything dewsbury away on a postage stamp and fax at home are 2 hard games so I wouldn't panic

Leigh glasses again? Yesterday, our coach should see as 100% unacceptable. Since the Salford game it is like watching a completely different team. So come on you people who claim to know what goes on, what is/has gone on to cause this. We can't keep blaming it on opposing teams.

Paul Rowley needs to admit there is a problem with discipline. Although we always have an annual problem with Halifax mainly due to their obsession with one ex Fax player (although he was totally innocent on Sunday), look back to our last home match against Batley, where the game was all over after 6 minutes with a final score of 54-8,yet we still manage to get a player suspended for 2 matches for mouthing off, and Sam Barlow involved in a heated discussion with the right winger. That's without Hock playing in either match! Get it sorted Paul or risk our had earned reputation for fast open rugby being tarnished in front of a nationwide audience on Sunday.

I don't really care what Rowley comes out and says publicly, as long as they address it and stop needlessly losing players to yellow and red cards.

The only problem I have with it is the talking back too referees!! As far as the brawls and fighting don't for one second doubt that rowls will be happy with our lads giving it back! I have no problem with it!! Fighting is apart of rugby what hasn't got a place is th dissent towards refs!!
