Clarification of the “ ref and TJs didn’t see it” comments, if a hit is late and after the ball has gone (either passed or kicked) the onus is in the nearest TJ to pick it up.
The ref is watching where the ball is going, the TJ should watch where it has been.

When he came to sit in the stand, Acton said that the ref said he had seen it, and the tj said he hadn't. From the ref's initial reaction he didn't appear to see it and only stopped play when he looked back at Hemingway.

Unfortunately the video doesn't show what I believed I saw. (specs and all!). I watched Acton, as the ball was kicked. He definitely had time to withdraw from contact, and didn't. To make matters worse, his contact was high - although I still swear that it wasn't with his elbow. Anyway, that's all academic - the contact was late, (fact) the contact was high, (fact) and the contact was avoidable. (in my opinion)

It's also academic how many matches he gets because, unfortunately, he just can't seem to resist doing these stupid, and dangerous things.

It's telling that he has been dropped from the squad for Saturdays game. His hearing is not until next week so would have been available for the Rochdale game. Has Keiron lots patience with him?

Wondered about that though contacting Red Hall to announce that Leigh already were enforcing the suspension that the former were yet to decide upon is an admission of guilt and there is no guarantee that RH will accept it. If they have then the stately swan has been furiously paddling away underwater since last weekend.

Suspensions aren’t backdated, the fact that he isn’t playing this weekend is irrelevant.

Only time I've known suspensions start before a hearing is when the club has requested to move a hearing back.

Unfortunately, Acton can't be trusted to stay on the pitch. Otherwise I'd make him play 80 minutes, he owes his team mates some extra workload.

I'm in no position to judge Jamie. He has qualities and abilities that I never had or reached as a player. I can say however that no matter what my opinion is of him as a player, Leigh Centurions need players that can perform at the best of their ability on the field. He has consistently shown over several years that cannot be relied upon to do this because he cannot be relied upon to stay on the field.
For me we need to find a prop before the deadline and plan on Jamie not being selected even after what ever suspension ends. We will not win a game in the 8s with 12 men on the field.
I've seen the game, and regardless of my opinion or anyone else's as to how forceful the contact was, one thing I beleive is undesputable is that the contact was totally unnecessary.
Also a player went to hospital because of that contact.
Enough is enough.

Weren't their suspensions issued by the UK anti-doping agency though? Once a club/player has been found to test positive, the club usually does not select that player. That period of non--selection then generally counts towards their suspension.

Suspensions for foul play, only commence when the player has been found guilty of, or pleads guilty to, the offence.

At least, that's the way I read it!
