Same here, but it's up to Swinton whether they want to pay the extra costs involved in opening another stand as well as the West.

i know it is ian but swinton need to balance the books so 'i guess' if they can't guarentee 1500+ its not worth opening

Why though John, it's as good as an home game for us, so surely the same amount of Leythers would attend plus Swinton fans, so it would be a good gate in my opinion.

Can't understand Reffy to be honest. I would watch Swinton v Leigh away as I would visit Yorkshire every other week. You have completely missed the point, but then that is understandable.

ie I would put one £14 to Swinton as i would to every away game I go to, but I won't put 10 x £14 into Swinton. My reasons are my reasons whether anyone else likes them is irrelevant.

I think if we have had a decent number of Season Ticket applicants you will be right , it will be all to pay so usually at most clubs you see a drop in the gate if all have to pay.

If the ST sales have just been to the hard core then we might get our normal gate for the 'away' game v Swinton as more people will be paying per match.

That said Septemeber is a long way off and with it being the last game of the season some will give it a miss if theres nothing to play for.
Of course no-one knows how our team will perform this year, we have the makings of a good squad but some key players left last year and we could struggle to fill that void.
The fact we have a team to watch after some major concerns for the clubs future in the off season means whatever happens this season is a huge bonus on & off the field.

What is the difference between watching Leigh away at the LSV, to watching Leigh away in York or Sheffield for instance?

It saves money really, no transport costs and travelling doesn't swallow up half your day as it's none existent.

This IS our only Derby game, and the luxury of not leaving the town for the away match surely should be enough incentive to go?

Not missed the point at all, I am talking about one of Swinton's games (against Leigh) which some people are going to miss watching their team because it might put a couple of bob in Swinton's bank.

Looks a strong Widnes side out and only Watts,Cross,Gore,and crappy Coyle missing.Hopefully Betts has dropped him knowing he is really e.

Some folk are still RL first, and hence watch other clubs when Leigh aren't playing - their choice.
I like Swinton, I wish them well in the quest for a new ground in the centre of their town. I admire the hardcore nomads who have kept the faith in dificult times. I admire their hate for Salford. I admire their desire to pick up any player who has played for us.

Trust me if a certain Mr Ed look-a-like came to Swinton there would be uproar!
