Is the South Stand where the Batley fans will be?

South corner of the West Stand reserved for them, will probably go on general sale on Friday pm if they don't sell them.

Just counted 32 (!!) seats available in the whole of West and East plus of course the Batley seats. There was a block of 5 left in the East stand though

Brilliant, hoping for good weather and another top performance from the Lads.

....I have also been informed that there are a number of people trying to sell these tickets via inbox messages. There are some real lowlifes in Leigh.

Might be a few rested for this one i reckon. All the same,can't wait fer Satdy.

I expect so, think the likes of Spencer, Acton, FFMM, Smith, Armstrong, Reynolds, Burns, Foster, Tonga will all get a run out but they are all capable of top performances.

Just hope we put on a good show.

I think Acton's only available for the Leeds game,however, you're quite right about the rest, who may feature.

If the ground is going to be packed out then IMO even the non-playing members of the squad will have a big part to play on the day.

Need to get them out there mixing with the fans, signing shirts and programmes and taking pictures etc. Make it as memorable and enjoyable as possible for those who might be coming for the 1st time or the 1st time in a long time and make them want to come back for more next season.

The club tweeted a short time ago that 8,000 tickets have gone.

There can't be many left then if you add the ST holders to the 8000

The speed of the uptake of this offer has and will cause problems , some friends and family may end up in different stands

Please don't let this spoil what has been a wonderful season , it's just the one game , go and enjoy no matter where you are stood/sat , I am now back in the North Stand apparently , but was quite prepared to help lead the East stand choir

Top idea really give the day back to the fans. It may help bring in more fans next season especially kids if they get to meet a player or get something signed!. All adds to the PR

8900 tickets done at COB today but the STs are included in this. North and west sold out but a few left in east and alot left in south.

After every game this season the players have come to the fans and signed autographs posed for photo’s etc, seem to have taken it in turns but its something that hasn’t gone unnoticed of how our club has fantastically interacted with our fan base but more importantly been very accessible to our young fans

The posts regarding the rapid take up that I read on the V2 this morning had me rattled as my application for emergency leave was being "considered' overnight. Got the green light just before midday and my bro-in law and I will be attending the party to end all parties, albeit in the East.

Seems like the East Stand will be the place to be on Saturday afternoon, can't wait to see the LSV in Circus mode.

21 single seats left in the East Stand. 2 single seats left in West Stand, plenty left in South at present. I am assuming all blocks marked as unavailable are full, although if a block has been allocated for Batley then we won't know how many of those have gone yet.

We will definitely P!$$ 10,000 + for this one IMO.

How many does the South Stand hold ?
Stadium capacity is 12,700 I believe.

Now then I will have to pick my words carefully as some might think I'm knocking it, I'm not, but isn't it a shame after the last few successful years and the attractive rugby you have been playing that so many people are prepared to attend if it's for free.
Where have these "tight wads" been until now?
How many will return next season, even though it will be in Super League?

In our sport "fans" are very fickle are they not?

John we may have some floating opposition fans coming along, you and Bentleyman are most welcome, come see a good team and a crowd.

5700 fans paid up to £22 to watch the weekend game, with over 400 in corporate - despite being live on tv and the Manc derby. If each of those took a mate/relative the ground would be full. We will be alright when it comes to ST sales for next year, especially as the 'how the flick have Leigh signed him' are announced

Halifaxjohn mentions 8,000 - if all those with free tickets turn up it is more likely to be much nearer our capacity of 12,700.

This is more than a great gesture from Derek - he does have his heart very much in the right place, but he is also a genius.
He now has a marketing database full of new names and addresses.
What Derek Beaumont and his team have achieved in such a short space of time is nothing short of a miracle.
It's not 5 minutes ago that home attendances were circa 1,200 to 1,500.
Fans from other clubs should encourage their Directors to copy the model and before any come on here griping about Derek's investment and how anything can be achieved with his financial support, they would do well to take a much closer look at what has happened and how it has been achieved.
Should we worry about whether or not we play to our best on the day and, just in case we don't, then scrap the idea. The answer in my view is very obvious.

In fairness to Fax John, there's been a lot of chat regarding resting players "as it is only Batley." A loss at the big party wouldn't be the best marketing. The shorter turnaround before the Leeds game due to Sky's demands have given the staff a difficult balancing act. I think Charlie can probably recommend some people to advise on that.
