Young Harold , its not all P Rs tactics i think are wrong , its just this inside ball , that doesnt work , as has been said on here we have many creative players , and no disrespect to the likes of Swinton , Worky , and Barrow , but we should be leathering them , as someone else put it .

I think when Coyle comes back , and give Higgy a go , it may change , i must admit no team is perfect though , i was impressed with Finnigans first half try saving tackle , a certain try , but the lad used his brains and closed their player down well , with 42 points for it was good , but they should not have scored 22 points , it could tell against us at the end of the season .

To be fair, the leagues been watered down a bit because of the increase in teams and some of the games we've played lack any intensity. We win these matches comfortably and by not getting out of third gear. The crowds been flat and the stadiums lacking in atmosphere.

Its the old chicken and egg scenario - fans want 80 mins of champagne rugby from the players to cheer but the players will say cheer and sing for us and it'll raise our game.

Two wins over Easter more than what most achieved over the weekend. There are no easy games in this division. Just be happy with the 6 points.

some folk just wouldnot be happy even if we won the league,northern rail and challenge cup. lets all get behind these great bunch of lads and support them instead of pulling them down. if the team folds due to lack of support who will you moan about then?

BBA its just our individual opinions on this Forum , you will find very few posters on here who are not Leythers through and through , its not moaning , just opinions and discussions ,Charlie knows .

I think most of us who post on here do. I follow them home and away and have done for 50 plus years and will do till I am no longer here.

When the players make bad errors why shouldn't we say so ? I sometimes criticise our Boards decisions and sometimes the coaching staff but at the end of the day I am a 100% Leyther who will always support our side.

Btw I doubt you would find any critic of yesterdays performance who is not the same as me in our affinity to our club.

We went yesterday and from what i saw Leigh just did enough to get us a win, nothing special. It does ask the question though if we can get our heads together for the upcoming Halifax, Fev and Batley games.

I would have attended more games this season but it's been bloody cold



As for the teams tactics ? , whilst I'm not a fan of the drive drive inside ball style that we revert to I'm not sure it's all down to PR , we have a couple of generals / senior players on the pitch who call the shots once they're over the touchline , and if that's what it takes to win then so be it . 1st half v Barra = dire , 2nd half = a different class , v Swinetown = a grind throughout and a bit dull yet got the win , and v Worky was a comfortable win



What I hope will be addressed which I'm sure will be against stronger opposition like Fax is leaking tries late on as we've done in the last 3 home(ish) games .

If you want to see the ball flung about like a hot spud then the U20's is the place to be

Another excuse I'm chucking into the mix which people may have overlooked for the low crowds over the weekend and for us " taking the foot off the gas " and leaking in a few late scores against Worky is .......

We have played 3 games at the LSV in 11 days whereas most of the Championship teams had last weekend off due to the snow , all that and competing with United on the box in a Mickey Mouse cup Q/F replay at the same time (

) and 50+ quid is a lot to spend these days on watching Rugby , well that and the Aintree betting circus on the horizon too .

BBA , i second both your statements , i have watched the Leythers for around 50 years now , as Clowns go , im an owd un , and cant imagine the Town of Leigh without a Rugby team , i dont blame the Club though , they are fighting against many other pastimes these days , but keep trying , i feel yo many of our Spectators feel its easy to listen to the game on Radio , or log on this Forum to find out about the game .

What some people dont realise is the players want paying , they are not on fortunes anyway , as do the Stewards and other employees , its the loaves and fishes syndrome , anyway BBA ,keep smiling and following the lads , thats what i intend doing .

Now wether certain players are targeted or not it is a pretty good bet coaches can spot them and without naming names 1 was in the pack and the other 2 are not in the pack.

I am an amateur who always says good defence wins games but of course without outscoring the opposition you lose anyways.

The three I am thinking about have all been substituted this season but without one of them in particular I think we would struggle even with 13 good defensive players on the pitch.

Ridyard would be one, just to tire him out !!

Gardners aint great, and Brierley would be targeted, again the same as Riddy.
