I too don't know how the man did it. To play at all, and do the full 80, when he must be devastated, was incredible. I think we've all questioned the commitment of our lads, at times, but that re-defined the word 'commitment'!

My heart went out to Jimmy during the minutes silence - it must have been very tough for him to be out there on the pitch at that time.

Seems like he did a good job for you guys in tough circumstances. You talk about strange happenings and the like but in the one minute silence where we were stood with the rain slamming in to the stand i could have sworn it sounded like applause.

well i did not know eddie taylor nor jt for that matter, but i am pleased he played, and am sure any father would of been hughely proud looking down on his son, very well done jimmy, a great effort.

Agree with all of the above - awesome effort from Jimmy putting his hand up in such a big game after the toughest of weeks.

Very brave effort from an outstanding and loyal player, shame two old Leigh fans in front of me started talking during the minute silence.

You surprise me their, I've never known that to happen at Leigh before and we must have had dozens of minute silences over last few seasons.

Anyway great performance from Jimmy today, I was proud of the lad and I wish him well for the tough times ahead.

Another highly consistent performance from Jimmy on Monday. He's been a rock all season, and shone through more this season more than ever. Showed great courage and strengh to give the performance he gave on Monday. A true professional and it's good to see that his efforts on Monday have been noticed by the fans. One of the first names on the teamsheet for me and has been ever since he broke into the first team.

He was awesome. I winced at a couple of the hits he put on Halifax players.

I can only echo what everyone else has said. Stu Donlan was excellent today but whoever picked the man of the match must have been watching a different game frankly.

Thought Ridyard had a decent game as well, lovely step for his try.
