Paul Rowley at the LISA meeting last month said that Williams was being sponsored by 'outsde funding' that isnt available for anyone else, now unless Mr Thomas said otherwise last night at the LISA meeting then???

Mr Thomas confirmed the hunt for Williams is dead and also stated that had he come across the likelihood of him playing for Huddersfield or Wakefield next yea was extremely high as both of those teams apparently tried to get him last year.

Seems most teams are getting in loan signings for the remainder of the season to either increase their chances for the playoffs or indeed the relegation fight at the bottom of the table.

Two obvious ones, Leigh to win at Barrow, and beat Halifax at home!

To be fair though Col, the club said it needed gates around 2500 this year and that hasn't happened so despite this new corporate club coming into existence there has been a deficit.

The club is also watched like a hawk after it went over the cap and was fined in 2007. So I can understand them not going mad with any potential space under the cap.

I do know that the club are trying to bring players in and the deadline for signings is next Friday.

Craig Hall would of been a good loan signing but he signed for the Vikings over a month ago and went back last week so no use to us now!!

We obviously missed our chance earlier in the season to loan players, we'll just have to play with what we've got and see within this next week if we cna get hold of anyone, get the best out of what we've got for now and hope they can get us through the games left. On paper, when fit, we don't seem to have that bad of a side
