The size of the squad IMO had a massive bearing on the end of the season downturn.

The extended cup run and the league games all taking its toll on the players when it came to facing stiffer competition basically leaving nothing in the tank when it mattered add to this key players carrying injuries all mounts up.

If SL was the priority then it maybe should have been a more focused effort towards the play offs but you lives and learns

Simple. Your goal wasn't SL.

The size of the squad wasn't the problem,maybe not rotating it enough was though.

Perhaps they only started playing at the END of the season?

The fact Fax think they had an amazing season makes me chuckle, they finished one place worse YOY and managed to beat Leigh and Bradford in the 8's under different circumstances. For what ever reason their coach got manager of the year and all of a sudden then are dancing in the streets...

It was a genuine question. Out of all the championship clubs it seems we were the only one to really compete in all of our games. Did the pressure really get to Leigh that much?

I cant wait for next season, I get the feeling we wont take 3 months to warm up next time around.

The trick is to back up the season just gone, GFB. Maybe some teams will have wised up on how 'Fax play, just like they did with Leigh, and nullify your threat?

Honestly I cant see it, maybe thats me been big headed but I think the same for Leigh and also Bradford in that we now know where the bar is set on a playing level in terms of SL(Unsure on Sheffield because they will be essentially a new team) but those team intensity should be on a different level to the teams that missed out on the middle 8's. I think there could be a wider gulf next season between the top 4 and the rest especially when you take in to account the differences in funding.

I agree Greg my take is that the teams with good support and investment will be able to adapt and develop (prob the top 4) but what happens to the rest of the league say middle down ?, is their gulf to progress to top 4 going to be as big an ask as it seems to be at the moment for any of the top 4 to get out of this league ???

The top 4 will have a big advantage but not sure it'll be impossible for someone else to break in. Dewsbury seem to get steadily better and better every year, London are still full time & after the shock of relegation & losing their coach early on seem to be playing well now, plus you can never write off Fev have to see how badly missing the funds they had last year affects them though. No one in the top 8 or so can be complacent.

Am i allowed to be optimistic again for 2016...

I am happy with top 4 in champ, Out of CC as early as possible and Top 3 in middle 8's

Target must be Qualifiers, the CC will be best avoided this year.

Think we'll win the league again, strenghtend from last year. Though lose more than once this year as it's not the be all & end all, plus think we'll lose away at Odsal in Feb stoping any dreams of record breaking winning runs.

Challenge Cup as always depends on the draw, think we'll make Round 6 though.

And hopefully we've learnt how to bounce back from defeat next year & will manage to win the Million Pound Game.
