Armstrong is not anywhere near Rhys class, good though he is. Rhys is the real deal and may if we actually get to see him regularly get people through the turnstyle. Awsome signing and one the club tried to get signed at the start of the season.

well i have been crying out for ages for us to get some real pace, and its finally happened. Only question i'd raise is the pack, with nash/bibby out for who knows how long, mcarthy and mitchell getting snapped up by sl teams, will this leave us exposed in the pack, especially if we pick up knocks, hilly and mills can't do it all on their own, we could certainly look for a prop to come in, at least till our injured guys are back, but overall a very impressive signing.

This is great news for you guys, Rhys and Ben were in the year below me in school and IMO they are both going to go on to become great players. Any chance you can give him the 'Blythe treatment'?

I don't know what it is with the Leigh air! Decent DR players seem to come to Leigh and you think 'he's alright, but not a star'. Then six weeks later they're cutting Supe League to pieces! Can't imagine what Evans will be like after he's been here!

Evans can play fullback wing or centre. If you feel strong in the latter 2 then play him at 1; lets be honest Donlans a donkey who had his day long, long ago

Donlan has a wealth of experience at full back , granted he may not be as quick as he once was , but he aint no donkey either !

A tad harsh I think. Donlan has been one of our most consistent performers both this season and last. Solid as a rock at the back and his try against Barrow shows he's definitely no slouch when it comes to speed. Hope he stays there!

Quality signing, Armstrongs good but Evans is on another level doubt we'll keep him for long though. Donlan is no donkey theres no many if any better full backs in this league this season imo

'A wealth of experience' ..I love that line. Its a bit like the line the Crusaders management trot out to describe their team that's so slow they get flogged every week. All have been good players; 4 years ago, when in reality the 18 year old kid waiting his turn will probably do you the better job. In this case it most definately is Evans

Seriously Dico, the form Donlan is in this season he is playing like an 18 year old!

In all seriousness I can't see Evans being considered as a replacement for Donlan, he's having a great season, last Sunday he showed great FB play by forcing a younger faster Greenwood breakaway across the pitch towards touch, whilst telling his own team mates Armstrong and Maden to hold their positions out wide, this forced Greenwood into throwing a wild pass straight into touch. Saved a certain try, by using his experience.

He is and very experienced.

I think all our players are going well this season.

we already have a ready made replacement for Stu and thats Johnny Pownall, Evans will be utilised as a threequarter.
