I haven't posted on here for quite a while but continue to follow the lads whenever I'm home.

I cannot wait for this game and the fact it is on a Friday Night is even better. The whole occasion will be electric and Mrs B will also be attending (which she doesn't normally). If its anywhere near the atmosphere of the Leeds game last year it will be amazing even at an away venue.

However, I do have a nagging feeling that all the supporters who have stuck by the club since Super League and rode the roller coaster may well get let down by the idiots who will crawl out of the woodwork !!!!!!!

I really hope that we can get a massive following into the away end and just concentrate on supporting the Leigh lads without resorting to the infantile, outdated and unacceptable, moronic chants of hating Wigan. The Leigh team require 100% support from the terraces to get them through an extremely tough task and that means concentrating solely on Leigh and its staff. I find the 'We hate Wigan' chants a bit embarrassing and feeble. Hopefully all the idiots who get punchy after a can of strongbow will drink J20 for the evening and engross themselves in an atmosphere of excitement and humour no matter what the result or scoreline is.

Town of Leigh : Get yourselves down to the game and enjoy a thrilling evening of RL and support your towns team like never before. This could turn out to be one of the best nights ever, win or lose and hopefully provide memories to last a lifetime. You just never know what might happen.................... Peawapp is most surprised at this post from Chas, as the other week I followed a bus down Wigan road and when it stopped at the lights the advert on the back of the bus read "Sharpys Fish chips and Peys £3-95) Wiganers only," this is surely against our Human rights for a bloody start off ,anyway I have enquired and found out that sharpys belongs to a relation of the Thatcher loving David Whelan, and consequently I have to report that although I will be at the Match to cheer on the mighty Centurions, I will not under any circumstances whatsoever be spotted Dead in Sharpys

That was basically a way of marketing it for non-matchdays, ie it's likely only those in the immediate area would be the ones frequenting the restaurant.

At my age Charlie (a very young looking 69) I have witnessed the Leythers butcher the Pies many many times in my Youth and like yourself am a fan of proper jackbit Pudding Chips peys n gravy being a particular favourite

When are the clubs going to annouce when this game is played or what the admission prices will be ?
Our club need to start letting people know about this fixture if they want to make money from it, money spent on tickets is money in the bank and equally I'm certain some of our fans will need to book time off work and need as much advance info as possible.

I agree, Surely we are losing some momentum here from the buzz of the draw being made on Monday.

We still do not have a date , ticket sold,a price or even a supporters coach booked for a match next weekend that is supposed to be a great draw for us financially. What can be the hold up?

Both Wigan and Leigh clubs need to get their finger out on this one asap,

indeed Jenky, Widnes, Catalan's (overseas guests) and Warrington announced their dates today. Should be in the next 24 hours when we find out......surely.

Wiganers will attend this match in greater numbers than they would for any other Championship team and Several SL Clubs. If Leythers hype the gamwe up to the max that will get more Wiganers to the game too.

I expect Wigan to put their best team out particularly established players returning from injury. A youngster ike Ryan Hampshire may get a bench spot.
