To be fair he said "enlighten us" Atomic.....Personally I don't understand why Ben Reynolds & Lee Smith aren't being selected, though I know Jukes doesn't usually select backs on the bench. So if he doesn't pick them to 'start a game' then we won't see them.

Burns hasn't done anything to warrant his place in the squad but Smith has every time he has played.

We have a squad of 26 fit and quality players all looking to find their way into a team of 17 places every week. With every passing game 8 or 9 players who each will assume they have done enough to earn a place will unfortunately have to sit it out again. It's as simple as that, nothing sinister, no conspiracy.


Bottom Line? Neil Jukes has got team selection absolutely spot on with the correct team named week in week out to win the past 17 games. (with or with out Lee Smith)

Agreed NJ has made the selections that have got us this far and he has done a great job. Just suprising that Smith who has played in 21 games this season (3rd most after Weston & Higson) can't make the 19. He seems to have played consistently well and is our second top points scorer after Ridy. Also I had assumed as one of the players who was going to be around next season? He would get the nod ahead of those in the departure lounge.

But as you say HR Jr - as long as we get two more wins - it doesn't really matter.

As I am told that Smith has been this week filmed training with the Leigh squad, I can only presume that he is still contracted to LRFC. Whilst it is the right of every working man (or woman) to withdraw their labour, it is also the right of their employer to withdraw his/her wage whilst they do so. DB & Jukes have taken no $h1t from uppities this last few months so, as Lee is still training, I can only think, Leythersteve, that you have been sold a pig in a poke info-wise!

He allegedly did that at Wakey last year so there may be some confusion around that being attributed to this year. I doubt he would be daft enough to try the same thing twice especially as it didn't work at Wakey and we had a much weaker squad than you have
