I respect your opinion Alan as from reading these pages you are clearly well respected and people seem to have a lot of time for you. I don't think anyone is forgetting what LISA have historically done for the club least of all Andy who I know has personally attended every single LISA meeting since joining the board as far as im aware???

The way I see this is our Directors (Andy and Steve) are taking the time out from doing the great work they and the other BOM are doing to inform us what strides are being made to improve community involvement and increase participation on match days. The club is showing a clear emphasis on getting kids and family people into the club like I've certainly never seen before, the person in question choses to completely overlook this and pipe on about something that's obviously not financially viable or practical at the current time and even when the guys have explained the reasons still wont shut up and wants to question people that clearly know better. All im saying is when you live in a big glass house don't even pick the stone up let alone throw it.

Its not a personal attack its an observation as far as I can see we (and I say we as a club fan and recent new sponsor who is doing my bit for a great club) have an independent supporters club which is being shown the way forward by the Touchdown Club and indeed every other aspect of the club official or unofficial but seems very slow to be taking the lead. Its more a bit of advice really than a critism that time spent posting pointless comments on here could be better spent elsewhere in my opinion of which im fully entitled same as everyone else on here.

its common knowledge how grateful the board and club are for the support of LISA but as I state in the thread above it now has to grasp the nettle and move forward as it seems to be a shadow of the organisation it once was in its early days when it really pushed the boundaries and was pioneering.

Taken on board what your saying fella but its not personal, we've never had it so good at Leyth IMO and for the first time ever have a financially sound club with Directors who have vision expertise and finance to back up what they say and make things happen and its clear we are going not only in the right direction but doing so at pace.

Lets trust what these guys are doing and feel thankful they are so open and transparent about what they are doing for the club and find ways to help get people back to the games and increase attendances and revenue instead of spending times looking for micro faults or minor defects in the great things they are doing, would be far more positive and productive for the club we all love don't you think?

Like I say, every area of our club, despite the enormous strides being made, is still capable of improvement. (and I would always have included the programme in that)

However, even 'constructive criticism' of individuals, sometimes hurts. Maybe the original suggestion made by Lynda was just an idea and worthy of being raised, however non-viable it turns out to be. Not all ideas put forward will work, but some turn out to be gems.

Having been involved on the LISA committee in its formative days, I know how hard it is to get volunteers in to work for them. Perhaps an infusion of fresh blood to the committee would work wonders to move them forward from the excellent base they have created?

Hello Chaps and Chapesses

Firstly I was away at the weekend and missed the dawn of the new era - thank God for Centurion TV - but the crowd looked good, the fans where with the team and boy did the team perform plus some fantastic scores



The future of our great club is about inclusion, about being the best we can be and about having fun along the way - we want to be the centre of the community and making everybody proud to be a part of it, driving commercial benefits from their inclusion

In that journey there will be many trenches of involvement and we will be reliant on individuals to ensure their piece of the jigsaw is the best it can be, we will of course help as much as we can in making it so. We have business's to run and I am personally amazed at the work Rob,Steve, John, Derek, Michael and Andy do on a day to day basis to get us to this place today.

The huge income streams from the Lottery team, LISA and Touchdown are essential to our growth, and now we have Centurion TV adding to that portfolio - thank you to all of you who support these and especially those who organise and drive them. Stand still and they will go backwards, so I am sure suggestions and offers to implement them will always be welcome by those running them.

As a board we understand the need for families to underpin our future, that's why we did the free Junior ticket with every adult/concession - but that was only the start. The new look JC's will be brilliant as it evolves - some fantastic people driving this as well - and will receive our full support along the way. The work done by our community groups is unbelievable, we are blessed to have such great people at the club,again this is evolving but will play a critical role in bonding the club, its fans and the community going forward. Rome was not built in a day remember, the snowball is moving lets see how big it becomes

I know I will have missed some great people off so sorry its my memory loss caused by years of ale, and not personal.

Can we all get better - of course we can - the journey has only just begun but we will complete it without risking our future, but by maximising what we have and investing in the areas that will generate a return to take us where we all want to be.

Remember we are in this together, and together we should all be proud and enjoy being a part of this great club of ours - but remember where we were 8 months ago and pinch yourselves because it isn't a dream

therefore can I invite you to join the Committee mile high club you could really help us I reckon ,or just a meet up and discuss some of your ideas perhaps !

I've personally pledged to Lynda and a few of the other guys within LISA to help in any way possible and am always only at the end of a telephone and available to sit down and meet and discuss anything with anyone no matter how big or small.

Lets view this as it is a really exciting time for our great club which is clearly going places and fast and keep working together and helping each other.

After the positivity of Sunday lets not be bickering amongst ourselves at the end of the day we all want the same thing.

Remember- We are in this together!!!!!

Personally I don't think it is a good idea to have LISA forms at games. I think it will be overload with Touchdown , Lottery, ST's and JC's. When you have been an ST holder or regular at the club LISA will become known to you. Personally I would like to see LISA be more of a social group away from the club match day experience just like it is now with the fantastic poker nights and the meetings. Not saying that they shouldn't still organise the things like the coaches and that but fun nights are worth a try. Also Mr Milehighclub I find nothing constructive in any of your posts only negative criticism directed at people who do a good job for Leigh Centurions. I haven't seen one idea in any of them. By the way my name is Tony Wilcock son of Bob. I don't want to hide behind my username anymore. Keep doing what your doing Lynda and say what you want luv. Oh and get that husband of yours on that coach on sunday.

Thing is I actually did put out forms on the table s in the bar Sunday Tony but didn't post that as its sounded like sour grapes I've had printer problems and couldn't manage to sort it out till this weekend .

The boxing night is happening but it take s a lot of sorting, Ians working away in the background on this project and we will deliver it when it's ready and it will be done properly then .........

I think the key here is for all partners to take a collective responsibility approach, otherwise it can undermine the good work being done by all. It is all too easy to post a bona fide question on here only for it to be misinterpreted.

As I've said previously, anyone can post their veiws on here as long as they stay within the AUP rules......
It is and always will be a un official fans forum.
More importantly it an excellent thing that fans can discuss the team we love.

However sometimes individuals have used the fact they are anonymous to have a go at volunteers who give up their own time to help the club he love

I have diverted my LISA subscription to the Lottery (and increased it) due to LISA no longer being fully independent of the club. Since this new relationship LISA seems to have become the major critic of the BOD.

I don't think that they have been critical Neil. I think questions were asked that were taken as criticism. That's two completely different things. If you are using criteria like that for not supporting LISA then I could say that I won't be buying another season ticket or raffle tickets because I disagree with members of the board coming on here and openly having arguments with fans on an unofficial fans forum. Lets not start taking sides and furthering anymore of this. Two things that make me sick are bullying and school play ground mentality. Personally I will be joining the lottery and will still support LISA. Simply because both are doing fantastic jobs for the club that I love and any personal differences should be put aside where Leigh Centurions is concerned.

No, it is the same thing, if the targets of the questions thought they were critical then they had the desired effect and they responded. I am not going to labour the point so you can have the last word.

As I said earlier everyone is entitled to state an opinion or ask a question, but a public forum isn't always the right place to do so when actively involved.
