Well - glass half full - Pies at home Saturday afternoon. Full house on the beeb - or failing that London at home - upset live on BBC......we've done it before!!

Sooooo......how do we think the team who gets us will react? We know we're not world beaters and so do they, but will they be fearful of us in case we cause an upset or will we be the team they all want to play?

Realistically everyone will want us at home.

Another thing to consider: Let's say we do defy the odds and make the semi-final, they will be played w/e 14/15 July (So Dewsbury at home from the Fri night will need to be re-arranged!) - this is the week after the Trains Cup Semi - then we've got York away, and Blackpool the week after that!!

So July would be:

Sun 1st - Batley (away) League
Sun 8th - Batley (home) Trains Cup semi
Sat/Sun 14th/15th - Challenge Cup Semi
Sun 22nd - York (away) League
Sun 29th - Blackpool

Now THAT is a set of games to test our VERY small squad!!

Never mind test the squad, it would severely test anyone's wallet! Don't forget we play Batley in the NRC Quarters though so obviously still need to qualify for the semi.

Sorry, you're right Matt - we play them mid June in the quarters.....I was getting ahead of myself there!! I was discussing with Walt Jnr. (while sat on the car-park this afternoon!) about playing them in the semi a couple of years back - and that must have stuck in my mind while I was typing.....as we play them week before the semis!!

Getting to the CC semi final, and a return to Blackpool would be awesome for the club - but as you say, a nightmare for the finances of the supporters!!!

I arrived in the ground twenty mins before Kick off and the crowd was poor at that stage, everyone arrived late.
Good turn out by Fax nice to see an away following.
We should get to open the South Stand if we get anyone other then London at Home in the cup.

Think it depends who, if we get Wire or Wigan i'd give them the whole East Stand and we'll have the rest.

I cant see us beating any of the teams left however we have an outside chance of beating London. Money wise would love the pies or saints but I would rather get to the semis than make a couple of quid, they money is there just as a 'bonus'. Worst possible draw is Catalan away we will get smashed! Give us Wigan away or London at home and i'll be one happy leyther!

I'd love to get to the semis too, as that would mean we'd 'done a Fev' and beaten a SL team. However, the message from the Fans Forum was that we desperately need some cash from somewhere this season - we are not out of the woods yet! So, I'd opt for a money-spinner this time round. Mind you, if we COULD get to the semis, that would be a double bonus, cash-wise!

Because all the rounds are being shown on BBC then my gut feeling is that if we do get one of the big clubs at home I doubt whether the fans will turn out. So for me it would have to be London at home similar crowds and a chance however small to progress.

Not all of the games are on the BBC - 2 are on Sky, 2 on the BBC.

In the Super League 'play offs', some teams get to choose who they want to play next! So,when a championship club gets so far in the Challenge Cup, perhaps, the Championship Club should be afforded the same privilege?

According to twitter the beeb must show two games but sky are only contractually obliged to show one game, but have the option of showing the other

Just seen that. I suspect it's a get out clause in case Catalans are drawn at home.

If Catalans drew Wigan or Saints though that would probably be tie of the quarters. That's a tie both the Beeb and Sky would like, especially after they battered us at their place and did Saints at Langtree, they'd be favourites whoever they drew if they were at home.

But similarly I don't think they'd be too keen on televising Catalans vs Leyth/London.
