I understand what you mean by shutting the thicko's up but what you ask for is not rocket science is it?.

We know it costs hundreds of thousands a year to run the club.
We know we need 1500+ extra paying customers.

Is it for the club to release financial info about LISA,the CC or the lottery?

It isn't rocket science is it, yet we don't do it. Instead we stumble from financial crisis to financial crisis every few years.
How much does it cost to run the club and how much is the shortfall?

No your wrong mate the average spectator in my opinion may not fully understand finance/ buisness/ sharholdings/ Directors obligations/ Loans/ Dividends etc.

They watch leigh RL knowing they are not a full time team and if they know a particular player they know they dont earn an awful lot money from playing RL and work for a living so assume its a one step up from amateur RL yet they pay 14 quid along with on average 2K others every home game.

That said along with that income and a few quid from off the field activities/ merchandise/ sponsership etc most would think like any other buisness its self sufficient and that the directors/ owners sit back and enjoy the perks.

In reality many know this is not the case but many dont and thats why its important to have transparency from the boardroom filtering downwards.

Nobody has ever come out officially to my knowledge and explained the structure of the RL club and what its goals and ambitions are, who owns what and whos actually driving it all.

I wouldnt have a clue but im damn sure its nowere near some of the silly figiures weve heard banded about.

I dont know how much it costs to run the club and TBH mo i'm not that interested i watch leigh for the sport not the business side of things.

Why should anyone who's investing there own money into the club give this kind of info out to the public.Its there money why is it our business?

Exactly, nobody gave a monkeys did they. World went bad and we are in the pooh, first we hear is when its round our necks and AT has alledgedly put £1.5m in keeping us alive these past years.
As someone who cares for our future I am interested in doing what I can to make the future better, if you aren't then so be it, we have choices. I do believe finding another AT is unlikely so its going to be on the shoulders of somebody or we dont have a club.

One way or another i give the club a few hundred quid a year,every year,that doesn't mean i want or need to understand how it all works.

Exactly right John. I think it's being missed that there a lot of people who are happy to pay their money and let someone else worry about the sums adding up, otherwise your hobby of enjoying supporting the club becomes something a whole lot more stressful (been there, done that).

And to think I was the bad guy for suggesting this the other day...oh my ...nice one jc lets enjoy the rest of the season and cross that bridge when we come to it,I mean we have 2 more years of tickety tick tick boxs to do,oh what fun

This sort of stuff crops up on an annual basis - I made the decision around franchise time that I was just going to concentrate on enjoying supporting the club and it's a lot more fun that way, believe me.

I'm pretty sure he'd happily provide the figures to back up AR's claims ..... although he'd also be well within his rights to shove them up your ar[size=1.[/sizese afterwards IMHO.

Any evidence to start saying people are lying? Or because someone has an opinion diffenrent to the clic do you just get slated off everyone? No wonder we can't find any new fans if they can't express an opinion on the clubs fans forum without getting hammered.

All I meant by my comment was, that I dont believe for one second LeythKeith is a Leigh fan, sounds like a man with some kind of business in the area, maybe a lapsed fan that has some kind of axe to grind with the Rowleys or Arthur Thomas. Thats just my first impression, as no reference to on the pitch goings on have been made. I hope I'm wrong and he is a fan, little more positivity though Keith please

Arthur Certainly deserves some form of recognition from the supporters of Leigh, He has always seemed like a man with a real passion for Leigh RLFC and a real love of the club. He has left you in a great position to go forward and with just a little more investment in marketing Leigh in areas like Bolton, Westhoughton and even Wigan you could grow to become a real SL prospect.

Rugby league Bellow SL has lost out with Arthur leaving as men with guts and passion to do right by a club are getting harder to find now a days. I just hope you continue to go forward as a club and at the same time stop spanking Widnes every time we play you, Its getting old now

That was kinda the point in the first place - why would anyone come on here and start questionning whether AT has actually put any money into the club or not, or whether he has left the club without any debts. He wasn't expressing a different opinion, he was being offensive. And, as you asked, does he have any evidence to start saying AT & AR are lying??

Well i won't be going that far Lynda,

but i will give him a very loud cheer and applause thats for sure.

There are no secrets with a limited company and its finances.

Everything that has been claimed about how much AT has put in and what the debts are (or were) to him can be found at companies house for less than the cost of a LSV pint.

If those debts were to any other party (such as a bank or HMRC) then a) they would have shut the door on the club long ago, and b) they would never let the debts reach that figure in the first place.

Again, thats no secret, it's there in black and white if you can be bothered looking.
