There are only probably 2/3 people who actually know the truth in all this , but lets all have a pop just for the sake of it

I think we all need to take a deep breath here and instead of those of us' who don,t know all the facts' putting in our four penneth to keep out of it.

I would lock this thread for now if I was a mod and leave it for Leigh RLFC and Easts ARLFC and more importantly the lad concerned to sort out.

Slagging either side off doesn,t do either club any good in my view and at the end of the day we might see an outcome that will resolve the matter' hopefully in the best interests' of the one person in this matter who really does matter.

I always have my own opinion/view and I still have but for myself'on this one' I am keeping out of it.

ok so the statement from leigh was unprofessional, but i dont think leigh are to blame in all this.

dont think anything should have been put on this forum about sam until everything was signed and sam was was officially a leigh player.

has for mr chairman saying he wanted to raise sam's profile why not wait till after he had signed for leigh? then start telling people how good sam is.

sam seems to be having a good season at leigh east but some of the comments mr chairman wrote on here raising sam's profile were rather laughable.

dont get me wrong sam has the potential to have a good career in the game and hopefully something can be sorted out of all this, and sam will sign for his home town club.

Some it seems always want to use the opportunity to have a dig at either the club or somebody at the club , usually without the ' facts ' to hand

The Watcher believes that the statement from Leigh was a very honest summary of what the club has been through. LRLFC obviously thought they had their man but had not foreseen the actions of Fishwick, who it would appear has done the dirty on the LSV outfit & touted the player in question to other clubs.
The Watcher now surmises that the latest club (Salford) has offered what Fishwick thinks is a better deal & Fishwick has then informed The Centurions expecting them to match the SL clubs offer. At this point Leigh quite correctly pulled out of the talks. If this has occurred then The Watcher advises Hopkins to dump Fishwick & with his father get in touch with Mr Millward ASAP.

The statement from the club is a disgrace for a professional club, whoever wrote that and sanctioned it needs to have a very close look at themselves.

Funny feeling all in all that at the end of the day he may well end up at Leigh, but either way hopefully lessons have been learned.

The main lesson being ....Do not deal with Fishwick,he is untrustworthy ....from a Leigh RLFC point of view.

The lad has a right to get the best deal for himself and so do Leigh and so do Salford and for that matter so do Leigh East.

Usual clamour to blame the wrong parties in this I see!! I trust IM, AR and AT to sign the right players to make this club the best in Britain if Sam is not to join us on that journey I wish him all the best but we must move on!

I suppose I could have been better worded but I'd rather they gave us information than nothing at all. Afterall we all complain about the lack of information that comes out of the club and finally we're getting regular updates.

I'm sure that whatever has happend can be salvaged. The lad obviously wants to play for Leigh so I'm sure the two clubs can make it happen without all this hullabaloo

Guilty as charged m'lud. I don't know nor want to know the poisoned dwarf but have seen similar outbursts with a certain name attached in the past hence it being an educated guess.

I have been educated that this is the sort of thing AR does, so am guessing it's him again. To be honest, I hope it is, because if there are two such loose cannons in the club then God help us and, chancing my arm at pure speculation, I'd wager that Robbie Paul won't be with us for very long.
