My final post on this thread, as I have no desire to get into any arguments.

Last year's form had a box on it, reserved seating, or unreserved seating. At the time we didn't know what we could and couldn't sell. We had conflicting information coming out as to what was and wasn't going to happen with the seating.

LSV then told us we could either reserve all the seating, or none of it, as they weren't prepared to go round sticking reserved stickers on the seats every week like we did at HP, (bearing in mind that Leigh Centurions aren't the only team who played there).

When we were given that information, we turned to the data collected from Season Ticket holders. The vast majority of what we collected specified unreserved seating I don't recollect what the percentage was off the top of my head, and don't have the time or the inclination to sift through 1000 plus sheets of paper to find out.

So as we were unable to please everybody, we opted to (at least attempt to) please the majority.

MY VIEW ON THIS IS IF THEY WANTS TO SIT TOGETHER, OR IN THE SAME SEAT EACH MACH THEY SHOULD TURN UP EARLIER AND NOT WAIT TILL 5 MINS BEFORE KICKOFF

can't argue with that, its hardly full every week (game then).

No I am not saying that the club lied to us, but I do question whether the 'vast
majority wants unreserved seating' that is wheeled out every time this subject is brought up is a true representation of the people who actually have season tickets in the West Stand. As we don't have any numbers as to how many voted for reserved, unserved or didn't vote for either we have no idea what the vast majority number is.

Also all the North Stand season ticket holders would be included who to having reserved or unreserved seating is not an issue.

Last year was a learning process for the club and fans lets carry out the same exercise this year for the people who actually use the seating and publish the numbers.

You were asked on your ST application were,nt you? I seem to remember being asked.

One of the perks of reserved seating is you can enjoy the reasonable priced cruisine and excellent drinks the LSV provide and go to your seat 5 mins before KO. Also you can go to the bog without the fear of losing your seat.

And of course sit with your mates no matter if you all turn up at different times.

Though it can be a admin nightmare for a stand that will very rarely sell out. Fans wanting to switch seats etc etc.

I don't care as I am in standing section, but if anyone is standing in where I go each game there will be hell to pay

No.We were told to "leave it blank.You will be able to select your seat later".

This is about service and looking after the fans.Last year was a shambles on and off the pitch.It is hoped we can improve.

Heres an idea that section in the middle, let it be selected by seat and pay £10-20 extra

I'm not bothered one jot by this as I'm a North Stand season ticket, but have you any idea how it would work? If season tickets are for reserved seats but match tickets are unreserved, then they would have to have stickers on season ticket holder seats, or how would someone who buys match tickets know which seat they're actually allowed to sit in?

Perhaps we could be revolutionary and have row and seat numbers on the tickets to match the seats.
Could be on to someting their all these stadiums theatres concerthalls cinemas in the world.

Then that would be a case of it being entirely reserved seating...what happens if you have a season ticket, but the kids and the wife don't and they fancy coming to a game? As already pointed out, more people preferred unreserved seating than reserved seating when applying for season tickets.

As most people may not have been asked you do not know that is true.

thanks for shouting at us all, but the point is i pay in advance ,so we could be brilliant or rubbish, but they have got my cash, the very least i expect is to have my own seat, if i went which i do often go to the theatre i purchase a ticket and it has a row and seat number on it, i do not have to be sat in the theatre 30 orior to curtain up, why should a rl game be any different.

I noticed it on the season ticket application form, but I didn't tick it as I was buying one for the North Stand.

am i correct in thinking that you matt work at dw stadium, which is also a multi purpose sports ground, as you well know mate i have a st for latics, there is no sticker i don't think on my seat, so why can't lsv operate the same way dw stadium does, its not rocket science now is it. if the pie eaters can do, why not us leythers.

Buy a Corporate box for the season then, therefore you are guarenteed your own seat, and the club will have more money.... everybody is happy then

If you buy a season ticket for a stand that is all seating then your ticket should have a seat number. Paying your money up front entitles you to a little consideration, one of these is turning up at whatever time you wish and not finding someone who fancies an odd game sitting in your seat. It is not top of the range crowd control it is a basic requirement of a simple ST seating operating system.
If a casual turns up for the game the ST seats are flagged up as "in use" and a ticket is issued for one that is not.

What happens if you choose your reserved seat for the year and a couple of mates decide to come to the Widnes game but the nearest available seat is 40 yards away?

Or suppose you get stuck next to someone you'd not normally spend any time with and your preferred ways of enjoying the game are totally different?

These are 2 things that have all but killed the atmosphere in all seater football stadia.

Good point but no doubt they`d complain when they took the occasional friend for the odd big game and were unable to sit together......



........Stick to unreserved until we get crowds actually needing a reserved status.

Then you would go and sit with them in the unreserved seats won't you, I thought that may have been obvious.
