Need to see it again, but I felt your guy (yes, think it was Higson), still had hold when Worrincy hit the ground. If you have hold, however loose, and the ball-carrier's arm (the one holding the ball) hits the ground then the tackle's complete. No?

Btw, I was screaming at the Fax players (not that they could hear) to bend their backs and tackle properly!! There were plenty of high(ish) tackles from both sides - poor tackling technique (usually going for the "big hit"icon_wink.gif.

sorry to be another going on about us coming off worse to bad decisions by the ref and I do realise I am slightly biased, but even the fax fans I talked to at the match today said that they had three tries that either shouldn't have been given (the offside one they actually made the sign for going to the video ref because they saw it as offside to) or the try come after a bad decision!

Sorry but it really angers me that matches turn on such bad decisions by the officials!

I was sat right in front of Worrincy and he definitely knocked it on before picking it back up and scoring.

Having had a night to calm down, I honestly think that we are not getting the 'rub of the green', these last couple of games. But, there is no way that we can say officials are biased. Yes, they do make mistakes, as an earlier 'Fax poster has identified, and those mistakes of the last two games have been really magnified, in our current situation.

However, as someone else has pointed out - you tend to make your own luck. The cruel fact is that we haven't scored enough points, (most of the season) to render the odd reffing blunder of little consequence. We are where we are, because we aren't scoring enough points. Sure, we have 29 league points, but have only scored 379 points at about 20 per game. That's 127 less than Batley and 175 less than Gateshead - our two fellow relegation candidates! As Starbug will tell you, that's not going to win you very many games, in current-day RL!

There were also many forward passes, knock ons, lying on at the play of the ball, high tackles and crossings that went un-noticed.... From both teams. That unfortunately is the nature of the game and we cant really expect the referee to spot everything, some go for you some go against you.

Watch it again if you get the chance soft lad.

I presume you are talking about the Said tackle. Well... You need to look at that in perspective. It looked worse than it was because he went in very hard, and yes he swung his arm back to get some power into the tackle and it first hit on the arm, with the ball and went up into his face. I have no issue whatsoever with it being called as a penalty, but that is all it was.

In your opinion, from your view. But not from where the officials saw it. Its one of those that would need to be looked at in slow motion to decide. did he gather before it hit the ground, did it hit his foot etc etc etc. I dont know and I was there..

TBF on that one i was sat near where it happened and it did look a knock on. But it would have been brought back for the first knock on by Leigh and i really couldnt see them holding us out for a set of six on their line at that point in the game.

Worrincy's third was scrappy but from where I was sat it looked like Smith's pass was knocked back by a Leigh player then when the Leigh player slid in to gather the ball it slipped from his grasp and Worrincy reaped the rewards. I was sat quite close to it but still not certain.

Gleeson's pass to Royston for the matchwinner was perfect, bob on.

Having said that though we did give away some stupid penalties, with Said being a culprit for a few of them, but it was clear from the word go what your intent was and that wasn't to complete many tackles below the shoulder.

Dave Alstead, what an absolute Jessica, if he spent his energy into playing his rugby instead of playing the 'hardman' walking forward 3 steps after playing the ball to shout or coming in third man for a cheap shot, he'd have been lifting the cup on Saturday.

Still I do hope you stay up, doesn't bear thinking about having Leigh in C1 with a fanbase and stadium like that, especially when you're producing players like Ridyard, Mort and Higson.

You did'nt get the high shot though ask the player how he felt afterwards and if he thinks it was ok then thats fine by me .
