To me, a change of coach really won't make any difference whatsoever. I'd like to say you can't polish a turd, but the turd had it's day against Sheffield last week so why can't it turn up more often than not?

I'm not defending the guy in any way shape or form here but who would possibly take control of the first team if Rowley left? Barrow got a quick fix as Deakin could be in the job next year if he proves himself but anyone who comes knows that they are only going to get turfed out at the end of the year.

I think a lot of other RL fans are of the same opinion in that they can't understand how some thought we could go down.
Heard it a lot myself over the last few weeks "You'll never go down, you'll easily claw it back" etc, etc.

Someone who would like to work as Ians assistant for the next few years who may have ambitions of his own to later become a coach himself. Paul Rowley has shown nothing whatsoever that he can be a coach with his selections, substitutions, attacking options or defence patterns.

ask any coach to come in now ? what go to one and say please come and keep us up but you will not be in a job after because we have signed a coach for next year? Im sure they will be lining up to apply or take the job.

My observeration that we needed to sign some players was more along the lines of admitting we are bollocked - down, a touch of sarcasm to a admitance that we have been caught out this season in our consistant continous decline of massively underperforming on & off the pitch.

To be honest I'd be happy with any kind of victory (1 point or 70points).

Who cares, win by 2 or 74 still 3 points, and after yesterday we can no longer rely on points difference. Even the one 'given' win looks scary now. Now that would be embarrasing.

I didn't and whether we lost by 1 or 60 odd its sill a defeat if i am honest i thought we may of played for a bonus point but my guess is with us carrying so many injuries and a Massive game next week we gave it up?? who knows.

LOL is that what we have come to, a game against the whipping boys is a Massive game. At least they have saved us the title of the divisions whipping boys

Of course it matters how many we win by, you cant complain about points difference yesterday and then say a 2 point win is alls we need!

If we win by the same score line next week it will mean we have the exact same points difference as of 6.29pm yesterday!

Due to traffic problems yesterday I only got to see our reserves play for the last 50 minutes. They were 10-4 down when I got there and ran out winners 38-20.

They play entertaining RL, they tackle well, they back up, when they pass the ball it usually goes to a players midriff, they are organised and enjoy their play and are there for each other. 5 minutes to go I heard a Leigh forward shout to his mates,"this ******* job isn,t done yet lads.

Just got home I,ll be there next week of course. Will we stay up ? Well nothing ever changes if it stays the same.

For the last 4 years, there have been a number of coaches if the reserves/u21s/academy, that have done far more to show they deserve a role with the first team than Paul Rowley. Sadly, Rowley seems to be guaranteed a job with the first team and he's done bugger all to justify it!

We said the same thing last night. What have they got to lose!
