| I thought we shifted the ball about quite well when we had the chance, actually. Some of those tries came off some really well-worked moves.

| I enjoyed it. The GMR team said as much.
The Maden & Gardner tries were superb, bit of biff too.
Good game.

| Outstanding defence some very good attacking play only downside was playing Bob B at 7 he played ok but he's out of position would have been much better giving Ryan B a start to see what he can do with more game time

| Another good win. Good defence. The effort was there again. Chuffed with the final score. Some lovely touches at times today. Still room for improvement. Beswick should not be at 7 IMO. Get Brierley on from the off.

| Some good rugby at times and great defence. Thought the Swinton try was not grounded so they should have been nilled. 7/10

| There were a couple of well worked tries and the defence is definitely improving, but seriously it was dull. Last seasons team would play like that for the first twenty mins but would open up after that period and play a more off the cuff game, where as that gone? We have the players to do it.

| So we scored 7 tries to Swinton's 1. Swinton being the team that beat Batley in the same stadium last week. In front of our biggest crowd of the season. And you're not happy? What do you want?

I agree, we did bounce the ball but by the same token we had a couple chalked off which looked ok so I disagree with the nil comment. No complaints really we were outplayed during most of the match and the best team won. Uncle Ron did his best to confuse both sets of fans throughout the game. I was surprised by the Leigh fans reluctance to cheer your boys on, only on limited ocassions did you burst into song unlike the days at Hilton Park. Anyway well done and well beat you at our place.!!

| Well, four of us went home happy, after that game. 38-4 against anybody in this league, represents a good result. There were also some cracking, well-worked tries and at last, a crowd of over 2,000.
Well done lads!

That wasn't a try - it was a 'Touchdown'!!
Solid performance - other than a flat period in the 2nd half (before Brierley came on) I thought we didn't do that much wrong, and with a tad more self-belief we could have quite easily put 60 up them!! A winning run will breed that confidence, so I'm quite happy with the progress.
Bring on The Hornets - lets get that win, and give ourselves the chance of drawing one of the big-guns in the next round, 'cos a 5k plus crowd - home or away - will, more than likely, be our big pay-day for the season.....and every little helps!!

I am of the understanding that it is progressing nicely and hopefully we may get a statement from the club soon.

| Well I enjoyed it but agree with a couple of comments.
I think Ryan Brierley lifts the crowd and is exciting to watch so I would have started him at 7.
Our forwards need to offload more but think that will come once confidence grows.
Beswick had a good game infact I thought his best since the competative fixtures started but I would always start with him at 9.
Oh and was told today that sadly Swintons search for a home of their own has stalled.

| While JD is injured and after watching today I would be inclined to play Riddy at scrum half and Brierly at standoff. I think that is where Martin could be more effective and Bob back to hooker. I don't know if it is because I haven't seen the boys for a bit but I was entertained today. Well done the Leythers. Oh and well done to both sets of fans for turning up.

| Enjoyed today.
Was a consistant solid performance with some well worked and well taken tries, plenty of times the ball was moved around the pitch and I was happy to see it.
Game had a good old fashioned punch up and a referee who pretty much let the game go (yes I know he could have blown for penalties but lets keep the game moving - RL is slowing down a helluva lot these days with pressure on refs from within and supporters so fair play to the guy, he made mistakes but at least he had the courage of his convictions and didn't dally about slowing the spectacle down making his decisions ).
Thought McNally showed some great touches and against a a aggressive Swinton team we matched up well in the forwards with Parker having a good game and JT deserving of his M.O.M.
Maden scored the try of the game and Pownall showed some signs of confidence.
It was another solid performance from Littler, in fact considering we had no Duffy and this season we are short on numbers (pretty sure PR said Swinton had 32 players training on Thursday - do we have that many ?) I was impressed how we kept a decent looking Swinton side scoreless (no I've not gone mad - dropping the ball over the line isn't a try )
Was glad to see the attendance figure click over the important 1,800 mark we require but must admit was worried when I arrived in Leigh at circa 11am, no-one around
Luckily it worked out right, I suppose the only down side in these financialy difficult times for our clubs is that some Championship clubs won't get the chance to attract some support over the money spinning Bank Holiday fixtures as they don't have a fixture - pure and utter madness, however thats out of our hands and it was pleasing to see Leigh ticking all the positive boxes today on & off the pitch.
Roll on the CC game v Rochdale - another derby game

| Good post Jenky. I thought Ronnie and his assistants added to the entertainment. Good bit of biff and a win. Well worth the money. I would like to know how TG2 for a big lad bent down at pace to take that ball from Steve Maden. Personally I thought Maden was a close MOM.

The most bizarre decisions seemed to come from the touchjudges to be honest!
And if you think Hilton Park was a rowdy place with loads of singing, it really wasn't unless it was a big game. I'd say the North Stand is louder on big occasions. Hilton Park only had one small section where people used to sing, and that got closed for a while too. The Catalans game at home last year was unreal how loud it was.
Good to see some opposition fans in LSV too, think apart from Fax and Fev that's it for us now in regards to away fans.

| Leigh ha only 18 fit players to choose from, Swinton had 32.
Mills is fit and warmed up with them, but for the 2nd week running wasn't picked.
Make of that what you will...

| If the rumour mill is correct he is on the way back to you, personally I've been disappointed in Dave Mills,he could be a real quality prop if he believed in him self and ran at pace. In all honesty looking at the lads who played for you yesterday you don't need him, i thought your pack was excllent yesterday.

| Our pack was good yesterday and with JT and TG getting back to their defensive best, the bash brothers are back in town. Young Sam Hopkins and Craig Briscoe had good games also. Jurys still out on Michael Ostick for me. Big lad who needs to put himself about a bit more.

Marshy are you sure they where Leigh fans you know how confused you get , as for your team , for me they are the worst team we have played this season , its a good job there is no Relegation .
Again i didnt use any fowl or abusive language im a well behaved Clown i must admit i was wrong though , i had a Leigh win by 14 , not 34 you were also right about the Swinton try it wasnt a try , i wasnt that impressed with our performance , we ddidd score a couple of very good tries , but the ball was passed to the ground on 5 occasions , as for Swintons performance Laugh , i nearly bought a round of drinks .
