Mort and Alstead will not be retained for next season, I think basil gave a verbal list to the executive members after thursdays game of players leaving.
Mort, Alstead, McConnell, Armitstead. Nannyn amongst others were on that 'list' so i'm led to believe.

Think Mort and Alstead are mistakes in my opinion but then again I'd have had them playing most of the season. Ian obviously thinks otherwise for whatever reason.

Apparently after the match on thursday AT roasted IM because of the display and the fact we lost, reliable source.

Doesn't look like he gives a stuff in his interviews, or at least thats the vibe he gives off. I'm sure thats not the case and it's probably just the way he handles defeats but it doesn't look great to the paying public.

Quite happy with that list to be honest! Only one we'll miss really is nanyn with his kicking but I'm sure a decent centre would compensate that or someone who can kick goals! All on that list are mediocre players and can easily be replaced with better! Hope some others are on their way out too!

I don't think he'll be at Leigh next season myself, my moneys either on Salford or Quins. Some good players need to come in which i can't see happening. If we don't get players with IM in charge the most we can hope for is the same as this season. If IM does go and we don't make any good signings i really do worry about our club, think of it the way I am now. Why sign for Leigh were nothing can happen for 4 years?

Millward has been in touch with Ballard about a deal for next year. I was told this about 3 weeks ago and have it on very good authority (I work with his missus). However they're waiting the results of a trial hanging over him at the minute.

Always good to have competition for places but I feel an Injury free Adam Higson will be a revelation next season in the centre

We will have one of the best centres in this league next season in AJ, mark my words. Him and Steve Maden in the centres with two pigeon catching wingers will see us right. The other scenario is if Steve Donlan calls it a day than Maden goes to full back and we buy another centre, but Higgy is due a bigger season than when he hit the first team.

Wouldn't put any of them 2 in the centres. We need centres who can create otherwise we have the same situation as we did this year.

think your a bit hard on maden this season,i dont think ive ever seen a winger used as a extra forward so much in my life.it must be hard being a winger when your doing so much work in the forwards.

Im not a Maden fan never have been,hes not fast enough,butin his defence,i agree he does come inside alot looking for work,and is not afraid to take on bigger players.But i still feelhes not what we need for next season.
