The annoying thing was just how much ball we gave away; other than their excellent kicker Rochdale didn't seem to actually make many of their attacks, it was mostly given to them by our errors. Desperately needs sorting. That and keeping on and being merciless, no sitting back when we have the ball and are in front and keeping up a strong defence and trying to stop them from scoring any points.

It is my belief Bentham, Turley and Cobb are under too much pressure when officiating in our games and should not be involved, which should be the case for all officials and their home town clubs

Stan Wall was a fine referee but he never officiated in one of our matches and rightly so. Billy Thompson was the finest ever referee in my opinion but he never took charge of a game involving Huddersfield.

It doesn't make the slightest difference to their performance as referee whatsoever. Once you go down that route where do you draw the line? Henry Perenara has shower in our last two meetings that deliberately appointing a 'neutral' referee achieves nothing and just prevents those most capable of doing the job.

He wasn't neutral, no NRL appointed ref ever is.



It puts huge pressure on them to show how unbiased they are, and is not fair on them especially when there is no need for them to be there.
