The brawl was fairly bad & Hock does go round looking for the player while Acton really gets stuck in too. However Dan Fleming (was it?) runs in & starts punching Emmitt off the ball gets a 1 match ban for it grade B. Hock wanders round & starts punching a player in some pushing and shoving, Grade D. How two so similar incidences get so differently graded is beyond me, it's almost as if a different person has graded the Leigh players & Swinton players. Grade D for Micky's throw is also farcical. Hopefully sense will prevail & we won't be without player for too long, however this is Hock we're talking about so officials could decide on anything.

Having watched the 'Brawl' i'm staggered how we have finished up with so many double 'Ds' we've got more than Dolly Parton!!
Leigh need to get the best 'Brief' they can afford because it appears to be witch hunt for our players!
The Rugby League Press and Media already had our players Hung,Drawn and Quartered before they'd even seen the incidents!
Hocks 'Contact with an Official' charge is outrageous and must be vigorously challenged ! How was Gareth supposed to know who he was ? he was dressed in normal clothing ad carrying a Notepad which, suggested he could have been any Swinton Official with no right to be on the field of play, just like the multitude of other people! as for contact.
I wonder if there was as much Contact as our Borough Neighbours are alleged to have made on their Public day out

Whilst Mickey's actions probably weren't intentional, the tackle was dangerous. Luckily the opponent didn't seem to be injured and three matches would be about right, in my opinion.

I would be somewhat disappointed if Hock got more than three matches too. He threw less than half the punches that Brad Singleton and Ashton Sims landed (the Disciplinary said "several"icon_wink.gif and they only got one match each. As for contact with the match official - well, that's laughable, as the guy shouldn't have been on the pitch, surely? And he was hardly 'hi-viz' as a match official!

It may be harder to defend Jamie's apparent actions, though - in my opinion.

It was a bad tackle, but it was out of character for Micky and the other lad jumped straight up without any problems. 3 matches is probably fair although it seems inconsistent with SL equivalent but I guess that is nothing new!

More important IMO that we get Hock's 'touching an official' charge over turned. That was a ludicrous charge and hopefully the RFL will see sense (I know, I know!) and not let the fact that it is Hock blind them from making the right decision.

He has been playing really well, 2nd best prop after Dayne Weston. Must admit I watched the video a few times and didn't see him strike with the knee but obviously the panel spotted something. Silly from Jamie, he had been much improved with his temper before that one incident.

Think that rules him out basically up to the 8's now, he'll be a big loss.

Hate to say it but I think they pretty much got that spot on.

I don't think Acton would have got 7 matches if he was a SL player but he only has himself to blame as he lost the plot.

Higham and Hock were probably treated fairly and I was pleasantly surprised they saw sense on the touching an official charge. It is 100% the correct decision but I still didn't expect it to be overturned.

Hopefully Acton and Hock will get a real b*llocking from Jukes as they can't go losing control like that, provoked or not. Could cost us big time in the middle 8's.

I don't think Higham's tackle was malicious, but it sure looked dangerous.

I feared the worst for Acton, who now really needs to get his act together. If he can do that, he could be an outstanding RL player.

I'm pleased that Hock was found not guilty of making contact with an official. His three match ban for 'repeated punching' is probably fair, although it doesn't stack up against Singleton and Sims' one match bans - they definitely connected with more blows than Hock did!

Settle for those bans. I know it is an oft used phrase but "lessons must be learned".

Not seen the footage of Acton's actions, but were his punches any worse than Sir Jamie Peacocks (sin binned no ban) v Leigh 2 years ago in the challenge cup ?
