Maybe there is something else that has unsettled the players - lack of money - partnership with Wigan. There is something not right behind the scenes.

Worst I have ever seen us today and that takes some saying. No interest from the first minute, maybe the players know Paul's clueless and are sick of getting killed with the inside ball and flat line. Beswick and Penky, keeping out Nicho - absolute joke. No go forward from PTB and no pace at half back. Parker looks in a bad way as well.

As a Fax Fan (I'm not gloating BTW) I couldn't disagree with you more. Fax were ruthless and clinical today and wore down a Leigh side who could have gone in at HT much closer. It was a good tussle for 25 Mins. That was the most complete performance from Fax in a few seasons and I'm not sure many sides would have lived with that performance. BUT come in guys you are Leigh, you will be back and I look forward to our hard fought games again. RL is a funny game and nothing went right for you today where on another day it would. Good luck for the rest of the season but give some credit to a good side.....

Fax are a country mile ahead of all the clubs once again, with the exception of Fev perhaps. Leigh were blown away today. Simple as.

We were good to day and I believe we can get better, but hey, as Chris says you will bounce back. It!s just like you, and us, for the result to be very different at your place.

I've just got back blimey get real Leigh where shocking they gifted Fax at least 40 points thro bone idle defence and giving the ball away for no reason any team from that division could have scored 40 against Leigh today they where that bad how many try's did Leigh gift the fax team through really poor tackling ect it was,nt that Fax where outstanding it was Leigh where like a second rate Amatuer team today

Thank you very much Rich , i will take your drink offer at the return game at the LSV , i was there today at the Shay , and must say you were good , no doubt , but NOT that good , we ine defence were Dire , very little plusses ,plenty of negatives , maybe around 6 players not good enough .

With different tactics and positional play , and not as many suicide passes then maybe the score would have been closer , McNally made 3 try saving tackles early on then must have thought , if the rest are not tackling why should i .

Iwill continue to support the lads for the rest of the season , in all sport , and games these things happen , last Tuesday i didnt win a hand a Poker , it was terrible , but i could win it this week , as has been said Keep the faith , Charlie will .

Derek as you know i respect your views and always listen to your opinions, but you know we have very little finances ,and to make changes , wherever they are needed requires finance which is not possible , so we must go with what we have , todays performance was just not good enough , i agree , hopefully it will convine Paul R to make changes , so some good may come from this defeat .

I only got Mark Taylors twitter feed today, and that made it sound shocking, feel sorry for all those that went. This has been coming and it ain't gonna get better, without major changes.

It's half Penky, half Murrell. Like a mythological beast of Rugby. Slowly, Murrell will engulf the Penky poster until nothing remains of the former Fax legend. That's how fickle rugby-man-love is.

The tackling (or lack of it) for Worrincy's 70 yarder was painfully reminiscent of the game at London in 2005, it was that bad.

Only heard Harrison's, and he wasn't exactly quick to deny an interest in the Cas job.

Leigh were exceptionally poor and most of the Fax points came from Leigh"s errors and not because Fax caused the errors ,it was a Leigh side who decided not to play rugby yesterday for whatever reason . Fax were good but Leigh made them look really good .

The complete interview is in LE, the one played on Radio Leeds was an edited version. He did confirm he wont be applying.

After the game in the bar when interviewed he didnt comment much on Leigh`s performance, probably keeping that in house, but went on to say they had just came up against the best side in the league and when they run hot there isnt a right lot that you can do.

Based on our games so far this season, I still think Sheffield are the best - they clattered us at ours, when we were playing fairly well. I think it's wrong - obviously - to say Fax weren't good. IMO they were very good, but we undeniably helped them to look that way.

I'd be interested to see the possession stats. for the game - we hardly ever got out of our own half, and I can't remember us managing to kick the ball once, when we had the strong wind in our favour, in the second half. Our error rate was embarrassing, and completion rate must have been down around 10-15%. If you repeatedly give the other team the ball, especially a good team, you will get punished. Heaven help us if Wigan get so much possession!

A few of us were commenting on this after about 20 minutes of the game when it was still close that it were just a matter of time before Leigh caved in because it was surprising how easily our pack was dominating yours. It will take a very good pack to get on top of ours, Its easily the best pack I have seen at Fax in this division, big fast and mobile with some punishing defence.

Agreed - I can't see Fax 'folding' like they have sometimes in past seasons. Opposing teams are going to have to work (hard!) for their tries. Let's face it, ours came after you'd 'declared' yesterday. Brierley's was down to pace, running at a tired defender, and Penky's came after a comedy of errors and a couple of penalties to us.

Perhaps your boys were totally shocked that we'd actually got into your half?
