Just a point-when was the last time this many people were on the Leigh forum. Lots of interest in this game.

So god damn proud of the lads today. We looked out on our feet in the 2nd half but we summoned the strength to stiffen our defence and launch a counter offensive. And once again we weren't found wanting.

We've got a superb side that is full of talent and enthusiasm. This is a great time to be a leyther!

Couldn't make the game today as I was celebrating like mad at the B2net stadium after seeing my football team gain promotion in fantastic fashion (without setting off a row on here I can only presume those against P&R have NEVER experienced the emotions I went through today - a event right up there with the best and one I will never forget - it was brilliant).

Really glad to see our record intact, still a few more tough games to come but I have to say that Ian, the coaching team and the players deserve huge credit for what they are doing at Leigh, these are good days to be a Leyther (and a excellent day to be a Shaker

Great result for us all things considered. Thought we were second best for most of it but would have won had it carried on for a few minutes longer.

I have to ask at the risk of being called stupid. The big countdown clock never seemed to stop when the ref signalled to stop the clock in the second half, yet the hooter went as it hit 00:00??

edit: sorry didn't see mattj13's answer in another thread. Apparently it resets to the time the ref stopped the clock and then carries on

Agreed matt fev threw everything at us but we kept holding on to there shirt tails and they couldn't shake us off.
That game was probably the most intense game iv'e been to in yonks,i'm so glad i was there.
I'm beginning to believe this season could be a goodun mate.

Though that doesn't explain why the first half ended when the scoreboard clock was showing there was still remaining. More trouble than it's worth having a clock that counts down like that.

Fair play to your fans too Jenky-I was working on the Sheffield-bound platform at Stockport Station yesterday and there were hundreds of Bury fans on the way and they were all having a beer and a laugh and behaved way, way better than any other sets of football fans we get on the Station.

Still should have been at Fev though mate-make an effort!

A massive well done to the lads,not just for the fev result but for the other games as well.when i saw the fixtures at the beginning of the season i thought thats as tough as it gets,but to be still unbeaten at this stage is unbelievable.To all the players,coaches and staff of this magnificent club you deserve all the praise and more that everyone is giving you right now,and long may it continue.

I think Shorpe have taken on the mantle of 'most disliked team' over the last few weeks judging by the amount of comments heard.

Must admit the most unlikely team I thought we'd be having a derby match 'anytime soon' would have been PNE, Then again just look who the chairmen is these days

Was hoping Fev would have this as a 7.30PM kick off, they did move it a hour back but not far enough for me to make it (unlike Leigh who kindly moved a 3PM fixture to 12PM meaning we could take in the Barrow and Lincoln games on friday

BLIMEY! I've just watched the game on Blip (cheers Fred) and no-one mentioned how good the last try was! 11 passes from left to right and back to left! Amazing!

Just watched it myself - amazing handling - almost in the same class (but not quite!) as "Wide to West!"

The kick was awesome as well...it was virtually on the touchline and Mick was virtually in the stands when he started his preparation...cool as a cucumber though. Must have been great to be behind the sticks and watch it sail over.
