Trevor siad last night at the LISA meeting that we would be getting some loanees and we would know Monday on one of them, hope this happens as hes proved it and fits in well at Leigh.

Probably just the ones who haven't twinned as their partner club will surely get first refusal on players.

If you consider the quality of players who aren't in the 25 strong squad for Wigan then there are quite a few who would be really useful Championship level.

Spencer, Burke and last years u-18 sign ups are all good options.

Well my view on this is so what.

Given the choice of being a twinned club or an independant club with a coach who selects the players he wants is a no brainer.

Become a twinned club and you might as well pack it in because your ambition has gone.

I'd rather support a team of North ' or West stand fans in Leigh shirts rather than support a Leigh team effectively selected by the coach of another club.

There is a conflict of interest too with regard to twinning when the Challenge cup comes round and quite honestly I think the people who came up with this twinning idea have not given this enough thought.

Take the Premiership deal as another example. Leigh away at Whitehaven on a Thursday night. Doubt many Leigh fans will be able to make the trip plus our players have to take half a day off work. Who compensates the players for their lost wages ? Who compensates Haven for the loss of visiting and paying Leigh fans ?

I won't mention licenscing which despite propaganda has led to a decine in attendances for practically all clubs.

So the RFL have created a situation where some teams can have dual reg players and other can't. Great way to maintain competitive balance and the integrity of the competition.

I personally really enjoyed last nights Meeting , i thought Trevor B , was as usual very informative ,and very open ,and Riddy , Adam Higson , and Ryan Brierley , all spoke very well .

They seem to agree with my views about having a successful season next year , Ryan B looks to have put on some weight and Muscle for next season , and Higson says his recovery from injury is 4 weeks in front of what is expected , they feel the Squad is very good and i thought they helped give the Fans something to look forward to .

As for what Trevor said about Duals , i think we will benefit from this idea , mainly because we will now have Loanees , coming to Leigh mainly from Wigan , and they could be experienced players now .Trevor said Kris Radlinski was coming to the LSV on Monday , to talk to PR , about possible Loanees .

The whole meeting had a feel good feeling about it , i cant wait for next year , and agree with Trevor when he says hopefully we can get another 150-200 fans through the Gates next season , now the Sunday games are back .

The Watcher thinks that the RFL ruling that does not allow a club, not deemed a feeder club to a SL team, to sign a D/R player is illegal & should be challenged. Surely it is a restraint of trade, could you imagine football teams in the lower leagues falling for that one ? No neither could I. Come on Leigh pull your finger out & get this unfair situation quashed asap.

All of our main rivals wont be having them either, so why worry, as long as we get a couple of loanees, Spencer would be excellant, fingers crossed.
