I feared this would happen with the team Wire had out.

At least they didn't hit 60.

Just hope the lads can pick themselves up from this and lift thier game for next week against Quins. No doubt about it though, Wire are a top side.And what the bloody hell was Blythe doing scoring against us!

A good Warrington team, couple of tries given away, Leigh played well at times, I just hope we help Warrington prepare well for their victory against the pie scum next week.

Some strong runs from him today.....was better than the Salford game IMO.

yep millsy i thought played well,got the leigh man of match award.
im happier with our play this year than when we played them last year.
we gave 3 interception tries away and 2 tries from bad reffing decisions (but we are used to that)
think good times are ahead.
warrington will take some stopping this year,good luck to them,

Your right there, they are a top outfit Wire without a doubt.

How did Craig Briscoe play?

how do you work that out, each key player of warringtons cost almost as much as our whole squad.
Anyone who went to the game will tell our lads played very well and final score does not truly reflect the game.

I'm not too bothered about that score. Wire are probably one of the top teams in SL this year. Some of the Wire tries came with more than a bit of luck plus a blatant forward pass and there should have been a time when we were playing against 12 men with a penalty try given to boot. What I saw out there today gives me a lot of faith that we will be right at the top of our league and we will only get better. I would be worried if Iwas Tony Smith and I would have some of their boys practicing ball handling. They put a lot of ball down under very little preasure, but this is only the start of the season and both teams will do well. A big well done to both sets of fans today and I hope the result doesn't put some of the stay away fans off coming back because we played some good stuff today.

What I would like to know is how can a static player pass a ball to a running player, who catches it in front of the passer of the ball, not be a forward pass? Because thats what I saw today. Either pass the ball backwards or let them throw it forward.

score dosent reflect the game they had too much pace out wide but we tackled very well down the middle hats off to the wire putting out a full squad out there bench players are worth more than our full team

I would echo TV boys comments.

Scoreline flattered Wire who have some great players. I thought our pack was brilliant.

We gifted them at least 3 tries too and when you consider their salary cap compared to ours it was a great performance.

This Leigh side will go well this season.

Frank I'm going to open another bottle of vin rouge because I'm very happy.

I thought we played some nice stuff - our pack was very impressive but they were ruthless when we got tired towards the end.

Thought Hoppy and Briscoe went really well but I am looking forward to see how Nicho develops as his instincts look really good - he always takes a couple of steps from halfback putting uncertainty in the defenders' minds as to will he pass or scoot.

Robbie was the biggest disappointment - why he didn't take the chip though on the full in the 2nd half I don't know!

Also I'm not sure about Ellis at 7 - he looks unfit and kicked poorly.

Nanyn and Maden did a good job defensively on the high profile Wire 3/4 line and Stu Littler looks a class act.

Wire will do very wel this year, they have strength all the way down into the back up players.

All in all an enjoyable rugby fix!

Very happy with the performance and the way we played , we looked to keep the ball alive when at all possible , against one of the top 3 teams in the country

I don't normally comment on individuals but IMO , our best halfback is the one we have brought in for cover

Another happy leyther, the biggest respect was that the first Wire team stayed out in the second half.

Wire mate with us was embarassed for the ref in the first half !!
