TBH it's not something I ever think about these days. I think we should concentrate on getting the club sorted first, from the directors, coaching staff, players, speccies - everything. if we can get these things sorted then everything else will fall into place.

Till AJM came along in the sixties I thought we,d never get to Wembley or win the Championship.

And for younger fans 15/5/71 and Championship 1981-2. We didn,t need free coaches that day ie the day we won that Championship which was midweek and an early kick off at Whitehaven.

On the other hand Batley for example, their fans have been suffering a lot longer than us lot.

Have you no ambition Mish , do you not know we the mighty leythers ' deserve ' to be in SL , if we were in there the Leyth hordes would fill the LSV stadium to capacity every week

Unless can win NRC from NL2 get promotion and run a youth set up... will be a struggle as you'd only be on par with what Widnes are now and not going down etc!

it appears to me that the RFL are trying to make our rugby league
comp ( both upper & lower tear leagues ) just like the aussie ones.
where there will be an elite league of about 16teams ( with no relegation )




& a lower league ( with no promotion )

who are all feeder clubs for the
elite clubs, the idea of super league clubs loaning their u20s players to
championship clubs to 1st team game time is ok, if that player fits the
criteria for the championship club, but then how would the championship
club u20s players feel ???

If you want 16 clubs then fine, just don't expect any other clubs to bother below the closed shop. Well they will bother, but in the National Conference with Miners and Easts etc.

It appears the clubs below super league may have shot themselves in the foot again as with the salary cap cut there is unlikely to be any full time players.

Theres only 30 pro clubs for christ sake, why can't the money be shared amongst them all like it used to be. In three years time the game will not be recognisable. Clubs like Fax/Widnes/Fev and even us will suffer as the lower clubs try and bring the clubs mentioned back to them instead of aspiring to be like them. The game below SL is dying a slow death regardless of what the likes of Barrow/Widnes and Fax tell you

TBH the thought of leigh in super league is what keeps me going and supporting them through these dark days.

I support them cos I'm a Leyther and they are my team. Personally what keeps me supporting them through these dark days are the thoughts of watching my team play with pride and passion and getting back to winning ways, regardless of which division we are in.

ALL I WAS SAYING IS, DO YOU SEE THE RFL GOING THAT WAY, i do & i go watching Leigh, that is why i feel a bit brassed of with the rfl, it appears to me that they ( the rfl ) want it just like the aussies.








what makes the aussie system better than ours ???
WHAT MAKES OUR LEAGUES BETTER FOR ME IS PROMOTION & RELEGATION, we dont have that any more in SL, but we do in the championship & champ1 thats why its a better league, the players have something to play for or to avoid.

What relevance does 2015 have to Leigh being in SL ?
