I saw the four Huddersfield Giants fans from Sooper Dooper League and apologise to them if they got upset BUT in proper Rugby fans get behingd their teams and as this is 2009 unfortuantely it isn't like the old fartown days of yes sir no sir thank you sir so and sometime as is the nature of society some people get over excited such is life get used to it

My son and I were at the match and at no point did I hear anyone cheering when an injury occurred (I don't even know to which one you are referring!).

As for the end of the match the only jeering was at the officials who had made some strange decisions.

I think Boomer is just a trouble maker trying to create an issue where none exists.

The only person letting the RL family down is him or her.

Officials were justfiably given stick at the end after a terrible display.

Only 'cheer' for anything resembling an injury was when their left winger took a big hit in the second half, but he was only winded and it was a perfectly legal tackle. If anything, the cheer was for the hit (especially as there was a decent chance they'd have scored had he broken the line) rather than any resultant knock.

Surely the only 'long injury' was to Donlan does the author not realise that we were the team playing in blue?

must say some of our fans this season have gone over the top, i know i got a tad excited at sheffield, and some of the more unsavoury chants i personally dislike, but thought yesterday was fine to be honest.

I saw a Batley player get injured in second half it came from a big hit and he came out of it grimmacing holding his wrist and i think he was substituted ,the fans did cheer but it was because he came off worse and not for the injury as he had his back to our fans so they would'nt have seen him in pain.

Sounds like the incident I mentioned, though obviously with the view from behind the sticks I thought he was clutching his stomach rather than his wrist.

Was that 2nd half when Jimmy T nailed somebody to force the knock on? If so then obviously the cheer was for the big hit and for forcing the knock on rather than for the injured player.

This is someone just trying to stare things up that are not there in my opinion.

Think it was as a big cheer went up so to some it may have seemed they were cheering about injury but the fans would'nt have seen it from behind the sticks so bad fans i think not.

load of rubbish boomer the booing was for the useless officials, there was no cheering when a Batley player got hurt, youv'e obviously spent far too much time out in the wind and rain in Huddersfield watching the grapple tacklers supreme

Me and my dad went to the game as neytrals (fax fans) yesterday and heard nothing bad from the Leigh fans, apart from booing the ref, which he deserved!

The only real injury break i can remember was Donlans and thought the Leigh fans were a credit to their club.

Sometimes fans cheer for a big hit which may result unfortunately in a players injury, the majority are cheering the hit not the injury.
Seen it happen a few times, people shouldnt just jump to conclusions!
