Bottom line is people in positions of confidentiality and trust need to put their own egos to one side and thing about the club. Fred should use a bit more loaf and let people not connected with the club speculate.

Fred, David and indeed all our fantastic volunteers are the heart and soul of our great club.

Criticism is unfair and uncalled for.

We can however as a club still learn lessons on the communication front and while Milehighclub has gone about saying it in a manner that is wrong he makes some good points which the Board are fully aware of and rest assured we will put right.

Let's not overlook the fact we've added another good player to a fantastic squad and have a game tomorrow and are not far away from the real business now.

I think some people struggle to understand the concept of an [iunofficial[/i fans message board I really do. It is stories like the one appearing in the NW evening mail that is this forum's bread and butter. A swap deal already in the public domain between Leigh and Barrow involving up to 5 players.

It does not really matter one bit who made everyone aware of where it was published, but it WAS totally 100% relevant to a Leigh RL [iunofficial[/i fans forum .

It is a storm in a teacup but tittle tattle happens when people want to be first with news. The regular irritant to me is when posters , not on the BOD, take great delight in announcing that there is going to be an announcement. This gives the impression that a favoured few are 'in the know'.

I agree totally that's why I signed up to the forum to hear what was being talked about,it makes me feel like part of a family. Hope this doesn't mean if I hear anything that I can't put it on the forum.

I have a Google News subscription to the keyword "Leigh Centurions". I get pretty much instant notification if Leigh Centurions are mentioned in any news story published online anywhere in the world. I get these notifications by email to my phone, so any news is in my hands very quickly.

I was aware of the story a short time before I saw Fred had posted about it, and would likely have posted it myself if he hadn't.

My point is, this stuff is very accessible and you don't having to be browsing the website of a Barrow rag to find out. That's the way things works now.

That's my point Michael. From a communications viewpoint, I'd much rather the club's news came from the club itself, first. But I guess we have to accept that there are so many people who want to publicise things, via a variety of instant methods, we just have to go with the flow.

Jees I love these forums, I love my team Leigh Centurions and this was why I wanted my company to get involved, Evans Halshaw. This place keeps me going for Rugby trivia and gossip!

Apart from my family this club has been with me all my life since I got free tickets on a sunday morning playing for Leigh East as a 12 year old.

All this time the thing that kept me coming back was that there might be a cheeky news scoop that somebody in the know felt like sharing!! I mean bloody hell i found out we had signed Alex Brown last October whilst logging onto the reception WIFI via my nephews Ipad on my own wedding day in Mexico!!!!!

Rowls states on Centurions TV that we do have a call back option on both Bullock & Briscoe & not on Haggerty so he's with us for the season that's good to hear

I know where you are coming from although listening to Rowley it sounds like we won't be recalling them back without a huge injury crisis. Our under 20's are strong & some will make the step up this season so you should have our players available for you all season.
