Lots of new faces, some strong ones and good young prospects. can we retain a few from 2017 need some continuity! Come on add Ridy, Higson, Drinkwater McNally, Burr, Brown, Hood Hansen,and squad looking pretty good. Why no news on remaining players?

Let's be realistic, a couple of the names aforementioned are just not good enough,and we must be approaching or complete with our overseas quota,for me I would let go Higson, Drinky,McNally, Burr, and Hood,keep Hansen and Brown, not sure about Riddy as we don't know what's occurring there,it's never easy to say ,thanks but no thanks, but the Squad we are assembling is full of quality and we can't keep them all, and I think we will keep a couple of places free for the 8's at the end of the season.

Remember the task this year is too 2 finish 4 home games in middle 8s and promotion, we need a few that know and can negotiate the championship. We ain't super league next year.

We have Bodine, Morty, Mautautia as confirmed overseas. Hansen and Burr are not quota if retained. Browne, Drinkwater, Patterson, Vea, Langi and Stewart are quota. I also think we will keep a few quota spots free for the 8's

We, have a Coach that knows the Championship inside out, and still have a couple of players with plenty of experience there,remember Toulouse and Toronto,will have no experience,the squad we have assembled should take the Championship by storm , though I take nowt for granted.

That's right Charlie, Torontos coach and half there team have no experience in the champ

Struggle to see, other than salary, why McNally wouldn't be kept on. Good enough for SL (just because we got relegated doesn't make all of um a failure), and would be a try machine in the champ backing up some of our recent signings.

Exempt as long as he plays for Leigh, Widnes had a couple after Crusaders went tits up on the same exclusion

ATEOTD I think KC has opened dereks eyes with regards to what he has been paying out. Assuming it all counts on the cap we are now running the reserves and first team (both of which are looking top quality) on the same or less as the last couple of seasons

Pretty much Jukes removing the last remnants of Rowleys team.. Hopkins, McNally, Riddy.. Juke has a real bad chip on his shoulder when it comes to players who played under Rowley, but if by having his own squad he actually coaches them to play with more than a single phase of play, then so be it. He cannot say hes not been backed to the hilt.

and Rowls hasn't the same chip but in reverse.

Only for the duration of the original contract they signed with the Crusaders. The exemption ceased at the end of that period and they then counted on the quota. Burr is now quota as his contract was null and void when we got relegated. Had we stayed up he would have had a year exemption because his original deal with the Bulls was for 2 years.

As Mo rightly puts it ,they have NO experience in how to get out of the Championship,I sure Richard Marshall, and the Coaches of a few other Championship Clubs have experience in the Championship, but none about getting out,as for strengthening,I don't think we will have to much to worry about,by Toronto or Toulouse recruitment plans.

Col,apperently McNally has already been informed he is surplus to requirements for next season,and I never said he was a failure,though I don't think he is a SL player,I agree again he would score plenty of tries in the Championship,but it seems Jukesy or KC have no plans for him.

Got too look at it like this.... Of the ones left too retain who do we actually want too keep? People keep chucking riddys name out there but he wouldn't of made any difference last year... We missed pace not organisation... Drinky was good last year but didn't have the ability too keep the defence honest neither did Reynolds.. Pains me too say it but ridyard isn't a necessity.. Depending on the rest of the recruitment I personally would run with Mortimer at 7 and Reynolds at 6.. Mortimer has the little yard and step that we so desperately lacked last year.. I do think we will see at least one other half back coming in... McNally has too stay for me.. So vital in attack for us he's a third halfback on the field and directs well at full back.. Same with Harrison Hansen he is a leader.. Blood sweat and broken bones he gets us there and deserves another year... After watching him highams interview he has got another year left.. Get hood re signed and have Micky/hood interchanging.. things are looking brilliant we can't be too soft but a few of these lads need to be resigned for me!

With what we have confirmed and who we still have potentially, I would run Reynolds at 7, Riddy at 6, and Mortimer/Higham at 9. I would also retain McNally for fullback and keep HH. I would also like to see Brown retained for centre/fullback. I understand that not all may stay for reasons I don't know about, but on pure playing ability/potential thats how I'd go.

Would be stupid to run Higham again..
